Worst Grisham Book ever
Revisado: 11-15-18
I'm a huge Grisham fan but this book was horrible. It was very depressing from start to finish. The violence was gruesome and frequent. A total waste of time.

Best negotiating book ever

This is the most common sense negotiating book I've read. I loved the stories too. Interesting to the very end. I'm listening to it again.

Historia
Billionaire entrepreneur, distinguished public servant, and father of a former governor and presidential candidate, Jon M. Huntsman, Sr., has been very fortunate in life. The company he founded in 1970, the Huntsman Corporation, is now one of the largest petrochemical manufacturers in the world, employing more than 12,000 people and generating over $10 billion in revenue each year. Success in business, though, has always been a means to an end - never an end in itself.

Huntsman was one ballsey dude. I was blown away at the risks he took. Very inspiring.

Historia
An innocent man is about to be executed. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is such a man. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched in amazement as police and prosecutors arrested and convicted Donté Drumm, a local football star, and marched him off to death row.

Too much of a propaganda book

Too much anti death penalty propoganda. I think it could have been a little more subtle.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

What an eye opener. I learned a lot about myself and my own dysfunctional background. I have more empathy on people I used to look down on from all walks of life. Fantastic read.

Historia
Mark, Todd, and Zola came to law school to change the world, to make it a better place. But now, as third-year students, these close friends realize they have been duped. They all borrowed heavily to attend a third-tier, for-profit law school so mediocre that its graduates rarely pass the bar exam, let alone get good jobs. And when they learn that their school is one of a chain owned by a shady New York hedge-fund operator who also happens to own a bank specializing in student loans, the three know they have been caught up in The Great Law School Scam.

Plenty of twists and turns up to the end. Loved every minute of it. Grisham could write a book about paint drying and still make it fascinating. This was one cool thrill ride.
