Historia
The full inside story of the breathtaking rise and shocking collapse of a multibillion-dollar start-up, by the prize-winning journalist who first broke the story and pursued it to the end. In 2014, Theranos founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes was widely seen as the female Steve Jobs: a brilliant Stanford dropout whose start-up ‘unicorn’ promised to revolutionize the medical industry with a machine that would make blood tests significantly faster and easier.

Fascinating
Revisado: 08-11-20
Fascinating how Elizabeth Holmes and her second hand man, Balwani managed to manipulate her Investors, the Board, her employees and use scare tactics on her ex-employees to prevent them from disclosing anything. Highly highly recommended

Candid and raw
Revisado: 02-04-20
I didn’t know Oxy could be snorted, let alone injected. It’s a very interesting perspective into how drugs-rather addiction can make one do things, that defy all logic and common-sense. Was very candid and the author has a very engaging way of delivering her content. Recommend !

Historia
In 2017, a routine network television investigation led Ronan Farrow to a story only whispered about: one of Hollywood's most powerful producers was a predator, protected by fear, wealth, and a conspiracy of silence. As Farrow drew closer to the truth, shadowy operatives, from high-priced lawyers to elite war-hardened spies, mounted a secret campaign of intimidation, threatening his career, following his every move and weaponizing an account of abuse in his own family.

Important book
Revisado: 11-15-19
It is a very important and interesting story. The level of deceit, misogyny and explicit and implicit threatening tactics used by these powerful men (and their associates) is mind-boggling. The book itself is very well researched and goes into quite a bit of detail. Very informative and engaging.

Interesting and Engaging

I loved the way she used analogies and metaphors to emphasise her points.
Summation:
1) Strategize
2) Focus
3) Commit
- break down activities into Small manageable chunks and do it one step at a time
Worth a read or rather a listen :)
Be warned however, she uses a lot of profanity

Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

A lot of swearing but worth listening to.
Revisado: 08-02-18
This is the second autobiography of a comedian I have listened to. The first one being - Trevor Noah’s “Born a Crime” (which is a Fantastic). They say, comedians are usually masking tremendous personal sorrow and this is very true in this case. It is very real and very honest. And I appreciated the insight of a female in an industry that is so heavily male-dominated. Only qualm, there is a lot of swearing - so be mindful that no kids are around the vicinity. Overall, one appreciates her tenacity and resilience 😊
