Historia
June is the star pitcher of her elite club baseball team—with an ego to match—and she's a shoo-in to be recruited at the college level, like her parents have always envisioned. That is, if she can play through an overuse injury that has recently gone from bad to worse. Ivy isn't just reffing to pay off her athletic fees or make some extra cash on the side. She wants to someday officiate at the professional level, even if her parents would rather she go to college instead.

Best of Dugan
Revisado: 04-30-25
Ill be honest that most of her books haven't 100% landed with me. However Keeps really did.
It has it's moments where you want to wring a character's neck, but they are teens, of course they are gonna make silly mistakes. I really loved seeing they way they cared for eachothers dreams. And it was refreshing to not spend too long before the MCs admit liking eachother and get together.
It was a sweet (mostly) light read molded around a unique backdrop.

Historia
Riley quietly left church a year ago when she realized there was no place for a bi girl in her congregation. But it wasn’t until the pastor shunned her older sister for getting an abortion that she really wanted to burn it all down. It’s just her luck, then, that she’s sent to the principal’s office for slapping a girl talking smack about her sister—and in order to avoid suspension, she has to spend spring break at church camp. The only saving grace is that she’ll be there with her best friend, Julia. Even if Julia’s dad is the pastor. And he’s in charge of camp.

SO GOOD
Revisado: 03-05-25
That was such a fantastic listen! I'm a sucker for best friends to more, but this story also delivered on its revenge sins plotline with equal importance. The two aspects felt like they were woven together seamlessly, and really informed eachother.
I also seem to gravitate toward books featuring religious trauma despite not growing up around religion at all. But theres something about characters learning life lessons on their own while unlearning harmful beliefs that I think can resonate with just about anyone.
I actually did not read the "prequel" (Hear that Song) yet, but I will definitely be grabbing it soon.
Narration was also on point. Great balence between quiet seriousness and absolute snark that captured the full spectrum of Riley.

Historia
For the first time, Regan Gallagher is facing the world without her best friend by her side—no, Sutton isn't dead but she is in Rome, following her dreams. And Regan really is thrilled for her. Left to her own devices, she's doing . . . fine. Oh, except for the fact that her new roommate, Emma Bordeaux, has hated Regan since the literal day they'd met two years ago. Sure, most of their interactions end in disaster and Regan is the root cause, but they are all accidents! She'll win Emma over though; she's determined to make this living arrangement work come hell or high water.

Adorable Grumpy Sunshine
Revisado: 03-04-25
Im not sure if Id call this a slow burn because I
think these two like eachother pretty early on.
But its a slow to admit/realize, mixed with
some queer awakening, and I loved that. The
pacing felt very natural, I appreciated Haley
throwing a few sped up time skips that gave us
a pretty believable timeline.
Riley and Gianna are pretty hard to beat for me, but Emma and Regan are now a close second fave pair in the Haleyverse!

Historia
Pop star Leontyne Blake might sing about love, but she stopped believing in it a long time ago. What women want is her image, not the real her. When her father has a stroke, she flees the spotlight and returns to her tiny Missouri hometown. In her childhood home, she meets small-town nurse Holly Drummond, who isn't impressed by Leo's fame at all. That isn't the only thing that makes Holly different from other women. She's also asexual. For her, dating is a minefield of expectations that she has decided to avoid.

Thank You
Revisado: 03-11-24
I just wanted to thank the author for so wonderfully showing a relationship that so closely resembles mine. As an ace lesbian whos in her own HEA relationship with a bisexual woman, going strong 10 years, being able to see myself so clearly reflected in this story has brought me to tears.
I've been devouring lesbian romance novels, but the sex scenes are always a huge disconnect for me. I often zone out during them. But on the other end of the spectrum, a lot of ace stories lack the kind of intimacy I crave and experience. Chapter 22 really did beautifully capture how that can look between people of different sexual desires.
I give my ace stamp of approval on this one. If you are looking to learn more about the ace spectrum from an ace pov, this novel really does it justice. But don't fret, there is no lack of intimacy between these two.

Historia
Since A-List actress and Hollywood's sweetheart Wren Acker came out, not only is she at the top of the acting world; she's also crush number one for her queer fanbase. Loving life, loving her job, loving her cat-everything is fantastic. Except that lack of any kind of private life. When a car accident brings her to the ER, the bottom falls out of her world when she realizes that reserved Doctor Taylor, her physician, is Madison Taylor from camp way back when she was a kid. And boy, does Madison still hold a well-earned grudge for how that all ended.

Long but worth it
Revisado: 03-06-24
I was a little intimidated by the 18+ hour length, but we get back and forth third person pov chapters that give us time to know the two main characters, as well as the support cast. The slow burn felt right, and I enjoyed that it wasn't purely lust first, feelings later. Enemies to friends to lovers, at a great pace. I think my only real complaint was Maddison's grudge at the start felt a little out of hand for the size of the event. Maybe it would have felt a little more believable if it happened when they were teens, and it lead to more public humiliation or something. But over the full course of the story, the grudge gets left behind quickly and doesn't ultimately effect the book too much.
I really loved the side characters, too. A Trinity short story spin off would be fun! And damn, that ending, well worth it. I wish there was a real life Ren out there. Someone with the power and budget to start a big Hollywood queer studio. Sigh. Hopefully in the near future.

Second-Chance love with the right amount of edge
Revisado: 02-18-24
I really enjoyed this novel. Friends-to-lovers is certainly my favrouite trope. But I often find myself most drawn to YA versions as an ace-spec sapphic, as they tend to be less... Horny. It was so nice to have an adult novel, that had realistic feeling grown women, that wasn't so overly focused on the sex aspect, as I find most adult romance novels do. So for you rare folk out there who are looking for a sweet sapphic adult romance, light on the sex, give this one a go!

Stevie and Nora had a love. A secret, epic, once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. They also had a plan: to leave their small, ultra-conservative town and families behind after graduation and move to California, where they could finally stop hiding that love. But then Stevie has a terrible fall. And when she comes to, she can remember nothing of the last two years—not California, not coming to terms with her sexuality, not even Nora. Suddenly, Stevie finds herself in a life she doesn’t quite understand.

Can't forget this one
Revisado: 12-30-23
I've listened to this several times now. Its the perfect mix of angst, bittersweet, and uplifting. Ultimately the tale of a love so strong, the soul remembers even if the mind doesn't.
*spoiler*
It ends happy, very happy. And the hard journey to get there is really worth it.
I love this book and will certainly keep coming back to it over and over. (I've also ordered the physical copy of it even though I can't read physical books, just to have it as a talisman. Also gorgeous cover)

But Madison is nothing if not a girl with a plan, and she isn’t going to let a little thing like heartbreak (or a slightly dented bumper) get in her way. Soon, she has a new junior class president candidate to back—although the two of them might be getting a little too close on the campaign trail.
