Great Book!
Revisado: 09-17-15
I was worried that it would be more for a young person, however; that was not the case! It was very well written and kept your interest throughout the entire book. Definitely a thriller that will keep you guessing!

Historia
The fate of the world is more fragile than ever as Pures battle Wretches and former allies become potential enemies. Inside the Dome Patridge has taken his father's place as leader of the Pures. His intent had been to bring down the Dome from the inside with the help of the secret resistance force led by Partridge's former teacher Glassings. But from his new position of power, things don't seem quite as clear. Perhaps his father had been right.

Sad
Revisado: 06-06-14
I loved the first book and second book in this trilogy, but walked away from this one sad and with unanswered questions. An epilog would have been nice, to answer some of them. The narrators once again did an excellent job of bringing all the characters to life, which made the end disappointing for me. If you read the first two books, you must finish it, but definitely not left with that "feel good feeling" you get when you finish a trilogy.

Historia
We know you are here, our brothers and sisters...Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about life during the Before. In her sleeping cabinet behind the rubble of an old barbershop where she lives with her grandfather, she thinks about what is lost - how the world went from amusement parks, movie theaters, birthday parties, fathers and mothers...to ash and dust, scars, permanent burns, and fused, damaged bodies. And now, at an age when everyone is required to turn themselves over to the militia, Pressia can no longer pretend to be small.

Warning!
Revisado: 06-06-14
Pure was a very good book, that left you wanting to read the second and the third. The characters are alive and you want them to succeed. This is a series to get caught up in, BUT if you want to end a trilogy feeling good - then these books are not for you! I was left sadden and with questions.

Historia
Best-selling author Julianna Baggott presents the second volume in her new post-apocalyptic, dystopian thriller trilogy. We want our son returned. This girl is proof that we can save you all. If you ignore our plea, we will kill our hostages one at a time. To be a Pure is to be perfect, untouched by Detonations that scarred the Earth, and sheltered inside the paradise that is the Dome. But Partridge escaped to the outside world, where Wretches struggle to survive amid smoke and ash.

Pressia, Bradwell, Lyda, Partridge, and El Capitan, are all once again on a mission to bring down the Dome. If you have read the first book, then you will definitely enjoy this one! This is full of adventure, romance, sadness and has excellent narration! This will keep you on the edge until the very end – however it will keep you hanging. If you don’t like to wait for the ending, then I recommend waiting until the next and final book comes out before you start this one.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Good Book - But. . . . . .
Revisado: 08-03-12
If you love to lose yourself in a book – this is a great book to do that. If you love to lose yourself in a book that actually has a resolution, then not so much. I like to experience a book that leaves me with, a good feeling or at least some sort of satisfaction, this series is not it. After reading the reviews from the last book (to date - book 5) there is still no resolution, so prepare yourself. I am giving up on this series. however; I did like the way it was written, and the imagination of the author, but I’m moving on to another series! If you choose to read some of the reviews of the last book – heed the spoiler alert!
Not a big fan of the Narrator - but he will grow on you!

Where There's Smoke
Revisado: 03-21-12
This is a very gripping book and the narrator does a very good job with each character. The plot moves right along and keeps you wondering right up to the very end. However it is a very sad book, so before you start, make sure you have a box of tissues!

Historia
It was one of Eve Dallas’s earliest takedowns, back in her uniform days. A monster named Isaac McQueen had been abducting young victims and leaving them scarred in both mind and body. Thanks to Eve, he wound up where he belonged, removed from civilized society in Rikers. But he’s not behind bars anymore. After his escape, McQueen has two things in mind. One is to take up where he left off, preying on the young and innocent - when necessary, with the help of a female partner all too willing to be manipulated and to aid and abet his crimes.

Great Book!
Revisado: 09-16-11
I think this was one of my favorites! It has a fast-flowing story line, with the usual cast of characters only playing a minor part. Eve???s realization and the way Roarke handles her, is as always touching. Their bond seems to grow stronger with each book. As usual Susan Ericksen did an exceptional job of narrating!
