Historia
The sheriff's deputy at the front door brings hard news to Ree Dolly. Her father has skipped bail on charges that he ran a crystal meth lab, and the Dollys will lose their house if he doesn't show up for his next court date. Ree's father has disappeared before. The Dolly clan has worked the shadowy side of the law for generations, and arrests (and attempts to avoid them) are part of life in Rathlin Valley.

Kinda disappointed
Revisado: 01-02-18
Maybe because I’m a huge fan of the movie having seen it over fifty times I didn’t enjoy the performance of the narrator I just couldn’t bring myself to become a fan of her as Ree or as any of the other characters , I really enjoyed the audiobook a lot minus the narrator. I got a lot more inside scoop on who’s who and family lineage. I was hoping to find out what made Uncle teardrop so notoriously bad ass and why they all were so scared of him. Maybe I’ll write some fan fiction.

Awful
Revisado: 06-17-17
I really wanted to love this book, after being a huge fan of the movies and adoring the character Aurora Greenway.I first started off not liking the narrators voice it was highly annoying and I found that her voice while being Aurora was not what I expected nor did is sound how Aurora in the films are portrayed. Now sticking with the story... I found very few similarities that go along with the film , other than that it in no way held any truth to what the movies are like. That fact also really annoyed me. Either I read a novel first or watch the movie I expect it to follow storylines almost to a tee I get things need to be changed for the sake of entertainment value when it comes to screenplays. But this story however was just utter crap.I couldn't stand Aurora, Mellie,Rosie and most of all The General. IT WAS JUST AWFUL. I kept hoping for it to get better but I couldn't even finish it I think I made it to chapter 7? I just gave up it was so terrible.
