Great book and a must listen, but the background music is a bit too much.

I really wanted to listen to this book - like badly! But there is this terribly dramatic and occasionally ear-piercing music playing behind the narrator the entire time. It makes it impossible to listen to. I don’t need the added dramatic effect or ear-piercing, squealing background effects - just give me the information! I’m definitely returning this book, couldn’t get past the first chapter. If they ever re-release it without the background “music,” I would be happy to give it another chance. I hear great things about the informational content.

At this point in my life, I feel like this is one of the top three most important books I’ve encountered thus far. Another one is called “Building Wealth,“ by Russ Whitney.
Anyway, this book, “Fake,” was quite eye-opening for me. It is chock-full of really essential information. Without financial knowledge, I had kind of plateaued in life. Now I feel armed with good information, and I’m excited to continue this journey.

Incredible study on the human psyche and overall power of the mind

David Goggins is not only a human specimen but also the scientist in a lifelong experiment in the study of the human psyche. He may not have been the first person to discover the incredible feats of which the mind is capable, but he is the first one to illustrate to me that it actually goes even further than I imagined, which is pretty damn far. Half of these concepts I’d already learned from my own experiences in the military, but the other half blew my mind.
