After many years being influenced by Hollywood and disney, I finally decided to read the original story. This is the adventure of the young d’artangna in its path to fortune and fame. The story is full of action, intrigue, larger than life characters, pompous dialogues and funny puns (kudos to Portos for most of them). I was surprised to realize that the biggest enemy in the story is not who I thought it was supposed to be. And that the means of evil are very subtle. The disappointment is regarding some dialogues that feel very artificial and some incongruencies between the description of some characters and what they actually do. Alexandre Dumas is a master on tragedies of life, and in this book, they are related in very light tone, with humor even. Be aware also that love here is a very strange concept that people can give of take at will. My special compliments go to the narrator that did an amazing job conveying emotion, danger, personality and fantastic french pronunciation that provided to the book the flavor that was taken from it for Being a translation in English.

This is probably thebest and most comprehensive memory book I've read. Very clear instructions and it covers all the basics and most of the advanced techniques to memorize numbers, dates, formulas and even to do some tricks. I highly recommend.

The author explores in depth the multiple strategies one can take to read any information source in a written form. It provides practical tips on how to approach your reading considering need, time, priority, content, familiarity and purpose. It also distinguishes technical from literary content.

I cannot describe how much am I grateful for this book and how much it helped me in my academic life.

This is a must read in my opinion and should be taught in schools.

I'll make this simple. The book had good content value and the tips are easy to apply. Nonetheless the author clearly lacks the ability to follow its own advice. The book is terribly boring, the explanations are convoluted to the point a feel that the book could have 1/5th of the size.

I am glad the author chosen Tim as the narrator, because sometimes he was the only thing going for the book.

To conclude: follow what the author says, but not what he does.

This book was a little bit disappointing. It is essentially a retelling of other ideas in a new clothing.
In a oversimplified synopsis, the book teaches you (very superficially) how to gamefy your life by setting goals, using to do lists with score cards and makes everything Nerd friendly by introducing the ludic element of an alter-ego. I am not saying it is not interesting or fun, but it is not exactly new.

Also, the narrative of the book has this annoying vibe. It is a mix of a information (which is good) book, selling free e-book (which is bad, because I bought it, I do not want more propaganda in it) and cult mambojambo (the testimony of people that passed through the process, which I also think is bad, I felt like reading an evangelic passage).

The greatest value of the book in my opinion is making it Nerd friendly and ludic. It also reunite many nice ideas about goal setting, planning, scoring process and understanding the change process. But again, nothing I never saw before somewhere else.

If you are new to the self-help literature, this is an excellent book because it groups the best ideas in a simple and short book.

If you were never called geek, dork, or nerd in your life, this book is not for you.

In this book the author argues that instead of doing what you love, you should love what you do. He provide many anecdotal and real life examples to sustain that do what you love is a fallacy and more than that, a path to a miserable and unhappy life. Strikingly, arguments provided convincingly support that happiness with your work is (in part) derived from your skill in performing it. Mainly because a skillful worker can cause more impact and gain more control over your own life.

In this book you will find not only the philosophy, but the actual practical steps that you can take to improve your professional life, make career choices or even change your life career completely. It is a very good guide for people that feels miserable at work and are planning to drop everything to become a yoga teacher or anything else. It really points out on how to think about this career change and how to make it in order to maximize your chances of success.

In my personal life, this book has provided a relevant framework for me to take career decisions. So far it has been very useful and I cannot provide any evidence to contest the truth of the statements provided by the author.

I highly recommend this book for people that are interested in improving their decision processes on career path, and are not afraid of listening some thought to hear, but useful truths.

I wish I had read this book in the beginning of my PhD. It gives practical and simple tips that although do not make any miracle, provide small, progressive and lasting improve in life quality. The author makes a very good job not only explaining what to do, but why to do it and why it makes sense. It points to reliable sources of knowledge, which works as a convincing argument to take what he is saying seriously.

The narrative is clear and entertaining. The narrator's voice is clear which allows easily to listen at high speeds ( I usually listen at 2x speed).

Very nice book, very helpful and entertaining. I highly recommend it.

I am so touched about this story that is hard to tell about it. The author brilliantly describes the life drama of a family to stay together through the eyes of a smart, compassionate and funny dog, Enzo. The book discusses about life, death, happyness, love, hatred, justice, prejudice and resolve. It is a emotional ride that takes you from the silly laghter to the tears. I highly recommend.

The professor in this course presented the material with maestri. All the topics are addressed in detail, in a way you can easily follow and generalize to your area of expertise. I dare to say that this is the most complete audiobook on the matter. It covers. The philosophy, the history, the theory, the application and the strategic and tactical aspects of argumentation. Nothing was left out.

If I have to point at flaws in this course , the only one I can come with is that 90% of the examples were taken from presidential speech. A more diverse source of examples would be beneficial in the entertainment aspect. But as teaching tools to convey the point, the examples are perfect.

This is my first course from TTC about meditation or religion and as usual, I was not disappointed!

The content is great and provide almost everything you need to start meditating. I am doing my PHD and bought this course hopping it would help me to manage my stress and anxiety. Indeed these practices not only helped me with these problems as they helped me to have more focus and attention. I am going to buy other courses from the same professor now just for fun.

The only downside is that sometimes it fews that some lectures could be shorter.
