Historia
In 1985, Anthony Ray Hinton was arrested and charged with two counts of capital murder in Alabama. Stunned, confused, and only 29 years old, Hinton knew that it was a case of mistaken identity and believed that the truth would prove his innocence and ultimately set him free. But with an incompetent defense attorney and a different system of justice for a poor black man in the South, Hinton was sentenced to death by electrocution. He spent his first three years on Death Row at Holman State Prison in despairing silence.

A Must Read!
Revisado: 07-07-18
I couldn't put it down. I laughed and I cried and the anger still courses through my veins at the injustice that men and women go through like Mr. Hinton. I will pray for those on the list and for the end of the death penalty. I will walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

Drawing from her work as a psychoanalyst and cantadora (keeper of old stories), Dr. Estes uses myths and folktales to illustrate how societies systematically strip away the feminine spirit. Through an exploration into the nature of the wild woman archetype, Dr. Estes helps listeners rediscover and free their own wild nature.

Enjoyed the book and wished it was a big longer. Although I do not agree with all of her premisus, there wwere bountiful examples of her theories in action to make the concept clear.

The electronic reader is terrible .

The information was adequate, but important details were absent. I would not recommend this book, there are much better books on the subject.

Historia
Jeannette Walls grew up with parents whose ideals and stubborn nonconformity were both their curse and their salvation. Rex and Rose Mary Walls had four children. In the beginning, they lived like nomads, moving among Southwest desert towns, camping in the mountains. Rex was a charismatic, brilliant man who, when sober, captured his children's imagination. Rose Mary painted and wrote and couldn't stand the responsibility of providing for her family; she called herself an "excitement addict."

Fantastic story
Revisado: 08-12-17
I loved this book from the first page to the last. It was extremely relatable. I saw my life as well as my husbands in her memories. The authors ability to place you into each event was exquisitely performed. I was pleasantly surprised by the authors ability to perform the audio addition better than most readers that I have listen to. I will defiantly revisit this story in the future.
