Bad narration and MC not relatable

Did not like. After listening to books narrated by Travis Baldree and Nick, bad narration really stands out. Other reviews are correct when pointing out that many MC choices keep forced.

The concept is great, but this 2nd book is not doing it for me. Hours listening and I couldn't care less about the side characters. Left and Right are cool, but Hiral has some thiccccc plot armor. He's got a tattoo for like literally everything. Dropping this series, sorry.

Boring. Drawn out. Cringe.

If you liked The Land Series or The Completionist Chronicles, I would recommend Unsouled or The Way of Kings or Noobtown (if you like ridiculous writing), but not this book. Many parts felt forced and the MC makes decisions that do not hint at him having past gaming experience. It wasn't completely terrible, but I didn't enjoy it.

I knew he was a good writer, but dayum.

I've been avoiding this book because I liked and disliked the cover art. Horrible reason, but it be like that. Recently read a book that had atrocious and boring writing and I'm waiting on new books to come out on all my other series so I gave this one a shot. This book immersed me into another world so quickly that I couldn't help but become a fan. If you enjoyed the Unsouled Series for its unique world and characters, you'll appreciate this book.

It was something to listen to... Almost done with the series and took a week break from it. I can't, for the life of me, remember anything that happened in the story. Very forgettable and boring for me. I can't bring myself to finish it tbh

24-year-old looking to return to college. This book has good information, but 80% of it I can not use. The narrating also lacked clarity. As someone suggested, a book for returning to college from full-time work would be welcome.

Absolutely loved this book. The story was captivating and the science and problem solving had my analytical brain on overdrive. Highly recommend!!!

I know it's probably a cultural difference, but jeez. I've never felt so uncomfortable listening to a book. Once touching breasts and moaning came up, they lost me. Then all the self-doubt mixed with bravado gets annoying. I'm returning this one. I'll wait for the continuation of my other series.
