My first time reading anything by Giana Darling & I totally fell in love!

I really enjoyed how My Dark Fairy Tale really felt like a modern, mafia inspired Hades & Persephone fairytale. The setting was perfect (Italy!), a billionaire mafioso and an innocent maiden spun quite the tale. The chemistry between Raffa and Guinevere was instant. I knew I was going to love these two. I liked that Raffa helped here in the beginning even though that was super out of character for him. I liked that this was also an opposites attract love story. The steamy scenes were so good too, especially the wine tasting one! I mean holy moly!

So much happens plot-wise. I was never bored.

Narrators CJ Bloom and Dane Anderson really knocked this one out of the park. I loved their voices together. Captured the characters and vibes of the story perfectly.

The only thing I'm sad about is that this is a duet and I have to wait for the other half (I did not know this originally going into this book). That cliffhanger is going to drive me nuts haha!

Highly recommend especially if you love mafia romances and fairytale retellings.

I had such a great time reading/listening to this. This had the perfect mix of romance and suspense, plus all the small town vibes.

Aspen & Jesse were so sweet. I fell hard for these two. Jesse was such a rock and fierce protector of Aspen, but also incredibly thoughtful of her needs. He could be a little overprotective at times but that’s just an alpha man fearing for his woman’s safety. Aspen was a great heroine. I liked that she was a romance writer. It was so cute when she noticed other characters were into each other. I also liked that Aspen was a fighter. She fought hard for her freedom, safety and happiness. She was very strong & inspiring.

The romance was paced perfectly. The progression from friends to lovers was done well. It’s slow burn & they’re roommates. The tension! The mutual pining! All this made the steamy scenes great and hot.

The plot was filled with plenty of twists and turns. Lots of action and suspense!

I also thought the town was adorable, just don’t get the coffee or pizza 🤣

I totally bought the audiobook because narrators Connor Crais & Lucy Rivers sounded fantastic. Their performances were amazing and I definitely recommend listening to this one.

A fantastic series starter! Cannot wait for book two. Highly recommend if you love Catherine Cowles.

Emotional & Heartwarming

From the first chapter this book was tugging on my heartstrings. I was tearing up while listening to this and that never happens! I should've known Foster would be the author to make me cry.

There is so much to love in The Wicked Aftermath. I adored the characters of Leah and Tank. Their romance grows from a deep emotional connection. They seem to understand one another without having to say too much. Like kindred spirits. They both suffered loss of a loved one and bring each other back to life. The way Tank was an emotional rock for Leah and her girls?! What more could a reader want in a book boyfriend? Their romance was heartwarming and inspiring.

This is a slow burn. Tank & Leah spend a lot of the book healing and growing a strong emotional connection, but once they do cross the line, the heat was turned up! This had just the right amount of steamy moments, especially the dresser scene *phew*!!

Narrators Aiden Snow & Jennifer Mack did spectacular. They brought so much life and emotion to the story. I thought their voices fit the characters of Leah & Tank perfectly. I didn't want to turn the audiobook off.

Absolutely recommend if you are searching for an emotional romance that will make you cry and warm your heart. Definitely recommend the audiobook!

A Grown-up Princess Diaries

I really enjoyed this!
It was funny, cute, romantic and steamy. It was everything I was expecting it to be and more.
The characters were a lot of fun. I really liked Lilly. She was confident, sassy and hysterical. She had some great lines. The dynamic between Lilly and Keller was paced well. I liked the sexual tension between them. It built up nicely and was explosive when they couldn’t fight it anymore. Quinn delivered on the steam too. Thank goodness too because this was quite the slow burn.
I think the third act slowed the story down too much for my taste but I understand why it was needed. I do think the grovel here was really good.
I listened to the audiobook and thought the narrators did fantastic. They really captured the characters voices.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys: Princess Diaries with spice, opposites attract, grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, royal romances, slow burn, and steamy books.

A lot of fun!

Such a fun twist on the kidnapping trope!

I absolutely loved this!

It was cute, funny, steamy and lighthearted fun. I thought the author’s unique twist on the kidnapping trope was clever and made the book really fun to read.

The dynamic between Briana & Dante was entertaining and sweet. I liked their banter a lot. His nickname for her was too cute and hers for him was funny. This is a bit of insta love/insta lust but they had good chemistry so those things didn’t bother me. These two were grumpy/sunshine gold.

This also got me in the mood to eat cakes! Everything Briana baked sounded so good.

My only issue with the book is the multiple epilogues. I felt there were too many.

I may need to get a physical copy of the illustrated cover, it’s so cute 🥰

Would recommend if you’re in the mood for a lighthearted romance with a twist.
