Amazing ASMR Poetry Experience
Revisado: 05-26-24
Overall: This was a beautiful book to listen to, relaxing, with vivid imagery. Highly recommend.
Narration: This is one of those books that listening to it elevates it - the accompanying music/sounds adds a relaxing atmosphere, and the narrator really makes it feel like you’re listening to ASMR. ASMR has been something I’ve never really understood before (maybe I was just listening to the wrong things), but I totally get it now. I just let myself drift away, enjoying the imagery that was brought to life.
Poetry: These were all just so beautiful. I don’t know how to explain it without having you experience it all for yourself. They’ve got a great vibe, and you just feel warmth flooding your body as each new poem washes over you in a gentle wave. I don’t know if it would translate the same over paper as it does with the spoken word, but I think it would get close.

An unforgettable tear-jerker
Revisado: 04-13-23
Overall: Grab a box of tissues, this one's an unforgettable tear-jerker. But it's so good, you just can't stop listening to it.
Narration: Let me say, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book when it first came out, and I was eager to see how Presley handled such an emotional book. Is it possible to love a book even more after you hear the audio version? She did an amazing job bringing the story and characters to life, and brought a new depth to it all.
Story: I loved As the Stars Fall, so I was greatly looking forward to reading As the Skies Cry. Before reading, I suggest a nice hot cup of tea, a cozy blanket, and a box of tissues. This was such an emotional read. There are both heartbreaking and heart-warming moments in this book, and I shed tears of joy and happiness while reading it. Rachel and Harley were wonderful story narrators, and you couldn’t help but fall in love with them as you went through the story. Perfect for anyone who’s looking for a story that will hit you in the feelings.

Great story, great narration
Revisado: 11-28-22
Overall: 4.5 out of 5, rounded to 5
Narration: 5 out of 5
Story: 4 out of 5
Overall: McCann did an excellent job of bringing the story to life, and adding a whole new level of depth to an already interesting story.
Narration: It was easy to get lost in this book while listening, and McCann made it easy to differentiate between characters. The pacing was perfect, I thought, and I didn’t need to adjust it while listening. She helps build the story tension with her voice, and makes the story even better than just reading it. I’d love to listen to more audiobooks narrated by her in the future!
Story: Fay returns in another great thriller. This round, someone from her past, thought dead, is out for revenge, and it might take a trip through time to save the day. Fay is just as strong and determined as she was in the earlier books, and it's easy for readers to fall in love with her (although I highly recommend starting the series from book one, you can easily jump in here). The action will absolutely get your heart racing, and the twists will have you wondering just what Harris has in store next. A great thriller with a light sci-fi twist!

I fell in love with this book
Revisado: 10-18-22
Overall: A beautiful, emotional story with excellent narration
Story: As Stars Fall is intensely emotional. I teared up more than once reading this, it's such a poignant story. Beautiful, full of love, and at times heartbreak, your heart will overflow at times and at other tears will overflow your eyes. If you're looking for a book that will take you on en emotional roller coaster and light some hope in you, then you'll want to snag and read this.
Narration: Reading this book was an emotional ride, but Vacker added a whole new level of depth I wasn't expecting. I fell in love with Kai and Mia all over again. An excellent narration job that had me crying and smiling all over again.

Excellent
Revisado: 10-11-22
Overall: I can’t believe I’m already at book three! I’ve loved every minute of this series, but this installment really stepped it up.
Story: This book was full of tension, and it was so hard to pause once I got into it. We get to know the characters even more, and see more of the summer side of things. I was dying to see what choice Harlow would make in the end, and how she’d get out of her predicament. I’m not crazy about Slater, Jax is amazing, and I’ll always love Harlow. Also, I don’t want to give too much away, and you should definitely start at book one or this won’t make much sense, but you really don’t want to miss out on this series!
Narration: Another great round of narration, with each narrator taking a different POV, but still distinguishing voices, so it’s easy to tell who’s narrating and who’s talking. They really bring the story to life, and even though you’re listening, it’s easy to get lost because you’re almost watching it unfold as you hear it.

Excellent
Revisado: 09-19-22
Overall: I was so excited to dive back into this series, and book two did not disappoint! I know that often the second book is a let-down, but this one blew me away.
Story: First, let me say you should really start with book one, or you might feel a bit lost. The characters we got to know well in the first installment are back, and dealing with the fall out of their decisions, and complicated relationships. This was just as captivating as book one, and I was reluctant to hit pause while listening to it. I cannot wait to dive into book three!
Narration: This was wonderfully done, with great acting, and it was easy to distinguish between characters. I love books with multiple voice actors, as they really seem to bring the story to life and add a depth to it. They were all excellent narrators, and I’d definitely listen to more of their work in the future.

Historia
Ruby was murdered on Earth 18 years ago and reincarnated on Zadok as a Pastel Zeek named Harlow. To be born at the bottom of her race’s caste colour system to a middle-class family of Magentas has made Harlow a source of conflict amongst the ruling Purples, and a source of derision from all three colours.

Audiobook Version
Overall: 5 out of 5 fairies
Story: 5 out of 5 fairies
Narration: 5 out of 5 fairies
Overall: Y'all, I can't recommend this enough, especially in audiobook form!
Story: This was such a good story. I was a little hesitant about a story that has one main character living lives on two different planets, simply by falling asleep on one planet. Minty blew me out of the water with how well she handled the switches, and I loved how well-developed the characters are. The world-building is superb, and the imagery was amazing. I cannot wait for book 2!
Narration: The narrators did a great job bringing this book to life, and I think having three narrators really helped separate the important characters, and made knowing whether we were currently on Earth or Zadok much easier (Ruby/Harlow have different accents). They really conveyed the tone of the story and character attitudes, making it even more immersive. I look forward to listening to more from these narrators in the future.

An excellent adventure
Revisado: 06-26-22
Overall: 5 out of 5
Story: 5 out of 5
Narration: 5 out of 5
Overall: A great story, really brought to life by Alling’s narration.
Story: I liked this story better than book one, and didn’t want to stop listening once I started. I love the mix of adventure, love, and friendship in this. Seeing Clover evolve into a strong young woman from the somewhat rebellious at times teen has been wonderful. Her journey to find balance and learning to use and control her powers was absolutely captivating. And who can forget the amazing characters that surround her! The perfect follow-up to book one!
Narration: Listening to this story is like watching it unfold in front of you. Alling does a great job of conveying the mood and vibe of the story, and making it easy to differentiate between characters. An excellent performance, I’d absolutely listen to more books narrated by Alling in the furture!

Great fantasy story
Revisado: 06-19-22
Overall: A wonderful fantasy story, with great narration that will sweep you right into the book.
Narration: Alling really brought the story and characters to life. Perfect cadence, and easily distinguished voices for each character really made this a delightful listen. I could almost see the story unfold in my head like a movie, and the distinct voices just added to the character depth.
Story: These aren't the leprechauns you're used to! This was a great book, well paced, with well-developed characters. The twists were nice, but a few were easy to see coming, (but they still added to the story). I love how Kilpatrick's unique voice shines through, bringing her own twist on the fantasy and fae creatures genre. Although this is classified as young adult, older readers who love magic and the fae are bound to enjoy it too!
I received this audiobook as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Nicole Kilpatrick. The gifting of this audiobook did not affect my opinion of it.

Fun story
Revisado: 03-24-22
Overall: A great story that will keep you captivated, with a wonderful narrator who brings the story to life.
Narration: Fleming did a great job bringing the story to life, and distinguishing between the characters. He really infused each character's personality into their speaking parts, which I greatly appreciated. It was a little annoying to have the title and author repeated at the start of each chapter, but otherwise I don't have any real complaints.
Story: Excellent world building, and the pacing was perfect. The characters were believable, and had decent depth to them. They felt real, with none of the main characters landing solidly on good or evil ground. I applaud Harper for working some very real-world LGBTQIA+ issues into the storyline, without it feeling forced. There's definitely quite a bit of political drama woven into the fantasy elements, but it helps move the story along smoothly. Perfect for fantasy lovers!
