Probably better "read" with the eyes

I love audiobooks and this one is well done. However, when the timeline jumps around topically, it can be confusing for a bit until you realize that the topic has caused a jump backwards in the timeline. Since I often multi-task when listening to audiobooks, I think that I personally would have done better to have read this one with my eyes rather than as an audiobook.

Major characters and site name mispronounced

Brandon Sanderson Cosmere fan here. If you've listened to the full-length Elantris novel on Audible multiple times, as I have, those pronunciations of major character's names and indeed of "Elantris" itself are now canon in my head. If you listen to Brandon's live streams, his pronunciations are consistent with Michael Kramer and Kate Reading's as they narrate his full length novels. Major changes to primary character name pronunciations in this version just ruined this for me and I just couldn't listen to it. I will return it if I can. Plus, this title is included in the "Arcanum Unbounded" anthology with Michael and Kate narrating and maintaining consistency. I enjoyed that version MUCH more than this.

Has me waiting for the next book in the series

Brandon Sanderson has written another enjoyable book. I'm assuming this is the first of a series. His website indicates that Skyward 2's second draft is done. So, we will eagerly await the next volume. #scifi #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Enjoyed the book but caught a narration error

I have both the ebook and audiobook and use WhisperSync. I'm not sure if errors in narration are ever "corrected" to update audiobooks, as they sometimes correct ebooks.

I can't find a way to report an error for the audiobook elsewhere. In Chapter 4, (~37:18), the narrator made an simple error. Instead of saying, "...the Lincolns bade farewell and thanks to the Todds of Lexington,..." as the book reads; he said, ""...the Lincolns bade farewell and thanks to the Todds of LINCOLN,..." I wonder if they can fix it?
