Historia
It was on the Silk Roads that East and West first encountered each other through trade and conquest, leading to the spread of ideas, cultures, and religions, and it was the appetites for foreign goods that drove economies and the growth of nations. From the first cities in Mesopotamia to the emergence of Greece and Rome to the depredations by the Mongols, the transmission of the Black Death, the struggles of the Great Game, and the fall of Communism - the fate of the West has always been inextricably linked to the East.

The author hates the West.
Revisado: 11-21-17
There, you've practically read the book. Unashamed basing of the West. Pitiful and disappointing. Save your money.

What would the world look like if everybody had everything they wanted or needed? Trekonomics, the premier book in financial journalist Felix Salmon's imprint PiperText, approaches scarcity economics by coming at it backward - through thinking about a universe where scarcity does not exist. Delving deep into the details and intricacies of 24th-century society, Trekonomics explores post-scarcity and whether we, as humans, are equipped for it.

It's not about Start Trek.
Revisado: 11-06-17
this book is about politics. just another case of a SJW co-opting modern medicine to preach their message. author has a vague understanding of economics but clearly despises capitalism (which raises people out of poverty) and doesn't seem to understand that star trek is fiction. he makes fun of libertarians and Reagan but never once discusses the horrors of modern socialism/communism. disappointed I don't my money on this little piece of propaganda.

Historia
Che Guevara was a dashing rebel whose epic dream was to end poverty and injustice in Latin America and the developing world through armed revolution. Jon Lee Anderson traces Che's extraordinary life from his comfortable Argentine upbringing to the battlefields of the Cuban revolution, from the halls of power in Castro's government to his failed campaign in the Congo and his assassination in the Bolivian jungle.

Propaganda
Revisado: 09-25-17
Don't be fooled, this book is propaganda. It idolizes Che, portrays capitalism as evil and barely speaks of the myriad faults of communism. It never questions the revolution or it's agenda. If you want to know the minutia of Che's life this is the book for you. If you want an honest portrayal of it look elsewhere.

Great intro for rookies, nice brush up for vets.
Revisado: 05-06-17
I've followed Keith's work for a long time, this book doesn't disappoint. It's got all the snark you're used to along with a bit of humor and a ton of knowledge. While there wasn't a lot of knew information for someone who follows baseball and sabermetrics it's still essential reading because it looks at how statistics have taken over the game and driven out the old, illogical ways of the past. You'll learn a bit about sabermetrics and a lot about the state of the game itself. Great read, thanks Keith!
