An exhaustively researched and beautifully told history of God’s miraculous signs and wonders. In our age of constant innovation, technological achievement, and the sad tendency to see ourselves as the captains of our fate, we may be tempted to make little time for miracles, or give little credence to them. But lives without a sense of the miraculous are impoverished lives. Our word for miracle comes from the Latin word mirari, "to wonder." And well might we wonder when we consider the nature of miracles and their purpose.

Bought this because I loved the narrator from an Oswald Chambers audio book devotional which is wonderful. He must have just started in 2012 because in this, he is abrupt, not smooth or as deep.
Not what I was expecting from the name. Have not listen to much of it. Tried to return. Academic. Long past history. Not relative to current life. Also reading 'Intimacy with God' by Randy Clark which is exciting and alive full of faith and hope and love. Big contrast.

Great messages but Audible annoying

This is an excellent devotional. Many reminders and some new things. It would be better if it wasn't broken up into two sections for each devotional. Second narration so slow I change speed half way through each one. It distracts from the flow and message.
Text version would be preferable for this.

Lost me at the intro

I was looking for a realistic book on American history to better understand our country. I am so tired of hearing nothing but talk bashing the president. I just paid to listen to more. nothing in the description clued me in. only listened to beginning but author lost me in the reason for writing the book is disgust toward Trump. I can hear that anywhere. lost hope this might be an unbiased resource.

Engaging and best narrator ever

Loved it. Really great analogies and amazing true stories helps reader grasp truths and make it really interesting.
This is my go to audio book to relax because of the superb narration. His voice is soothing and the excellent quality of inflection, emotion and timing are perfect. I liked him so much I went looking for other audible books by this narrator and was disappointed to find none.

Fun twists. Enjoy the characters. The author does a great job with character formation.The narrator is excellent. can always tell who the characters are and has a pleasant voice that goes with the main character. I do not care for romance novels. This has some romance in the background, it's not sappy or only reason for the story. G rated.

Enjoyed the Characters and the descriptions of places . I like the relational interactions. This was a fun book without anything disturbing, an enjoyable read. The murder mystery is kind of a side line. No danger or stressful suspense. Very pleasant. Excellent professional narrator. Pleasant voice. Characters are very easy to distinguish. Accents sounded authentic and flowed easily.

Great follow up to Translating God. This goes deeper with more stories. I love Shawns heart for God and people. He demonstrates the true heart of God and amazing words of knowledge and has a heart to help others to reveal God this way. I've seen ministers who have spent time with him develop greater accuracy and detail in words of knowledge. I've been looking for the real thing and he has got it. It comes from love and compassion and is brought forth from a place of being secure and humble.
Perfect Narrator. He speaks with the heart and personality of the author.
