Historia
Lucy and Owen, ambitious, thoroughly-therapized New Yorkers, have taken the plunge, trading in their crazy life in a cramped apartment for Beekman, a bucolic Hudson Valley exurb. They've got a 200-year-old house, an autistic son obsessed with the Titanic, and 17 chickens, at last count. It's the kind of paradise where stay-at-home moms team up to cook the school's "hot lunch", dads grill grass-fed burgers, and, as Lucy observes, "chopping kale has become a certain kind of American housewife's version of chopping wood".

Great Book
Revisado: 11-30-17
Great take on an intriguing ideology. Storylines were woven together perfectly. Only a few audio-editorial misses, otherwise a good performance.

Historia
Maddy is a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother, host of excellent parties, giver of thoughtful gifts, and bestower of a searingly perceptive piece of advice or two. She is the cornerstone of her family, a true matriarch...until she commits suicide, leaving her husband Brady and teenage daughter Eve heartbroken and reeling, wondering what happened. How could the exuberant, exacting woman they loved disappear so abruptly, seemingly without reason, from their lives? How they can possibly continue without her?

Historia
The Bodine ranch and resort in western Montana is a family business, an idyllic spot for vacationers. A little over thirty thousand acres and home to four generations, it’s kept running by Bodine Longbow with the help of a large staff, including new hire Callen Skinner. There was another member of the family once: Bodine’s aunt, Alice, who ran off before Bodine was born.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful
Revisado: 06-09-17
Nora Roberts at her finest. She grabs your hand and heart from the prologue and never lets go. Nora will take a chip or of your heart and then mend it on the next page. You may figure the whodunit out, but the ride is very very worth it.
The narrator is absolutely perfect. Flawless performance.

Historia
When 25-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expects is to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.

perfect beach read
Revisado: 04-06-17
A modern Nora Roberts-esque novel. So perfectly chick lit. I would've loved to read this laying out at a beach on vacation.
I liked the narrator's character voices. Only her actual narration tone kind of bothered me at some points.
overall, great book

Historia
On a warm summer morning in North Carthage, Missouri, it is Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick’s clever and beautiful wife disappears. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn’t doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams about the slope and shape of his wife’s head, but passages from Amy's diary reveal the alpha-girl perfectionist could have put anyone dangerously on edge.

was not the ending I wanted
Revisado: 02-23-17
Definitely takes you on a rollercoaster, but with a lackluster ending (for me, anyway). Performances were on point though.

listen to this one
Revisado: 01-23-17
It took a bit to get used to the narrator's character voices, but the story sucks you in. The narrator's rendition of evil Jack is absolute perfection. The story takes you into the mind of the victim. It's nearly impossible to imagine what you would do in her place. I don't fault her for any of her decisions because of her unbreakable ties to her sister. It's like an episode of Criminal Minds before the team shows up. I would've loved an epilogue (I think epilogues should be required for any book though).
