A great listen
Revisado: 02-13-25
If you're into games, listening to this title was a pleasant experience. Deep, but not too deep. Insightful overview of seven different games.

Historia
In his landmark best seller The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell redefined how we understand the world around us. Now, in Blink, he revolutionizes the way we understand the world within. Blink is a book about how we think without thinking, about choices that seem to be made in an instant, in the blink of an eye, that actually aren't as simple as they seem. Why are some people brilliant decision makers, while others are consistently inept?

Is exciting like lettuce is exciting.
Revisado: 05-18-21
I made it thru about an hour and a half. The first story about the fake statue was interesting, but it really started to drag on in the next section when he was talking about metrics to predict whether a couple will divorce or not. Honestly I tuned him out for multiple periods of unknown duration. Then he praises George Soros? Ok...
Well, I am going to be thinking about how well informed my rapid decisions are, so that's cool, but the variables involved all added up to a feeling of hey this turning out to be about as exciting as a guidebook on lettuce.

Prophylaxis does NOT mean suffocation
Revisado: 03-08-20
One thing to point out: The text says prophylaxis means to suffocate in medical terminology, but that's not what it means. Medically and in chess, it means to prevent something ahead of time.

Sort of a chess book
Revisado: 03-06-20
First, the author has done a great job of reading for the audio book version.
Second, there's some interesting non-chess stuff here and there.
Third, there are some cabal zombie talking points here and there.
And fourth, the chess related content is interesting.
