Rough, Gruff, and Amazing!

Oh, Diesel. I've had a thing for this man if no words since we first met him. He had the quiet mystery about him that just made you want to know more, more, more. And this book cover!?? Holy hotness!

I loved how Traci calls him "Unleaded", I got the best laugh with that name because Diesel just doesn't feel like the type of gruff biker who does nicknames like that. She just knew how to get under his skin. Diesel is a protector, first and foremost, and we see it in everything he does. But he protects his heart the most. The way he took care of Traci after her altercation was sooooo good. He just held her. That right there is just, *sigh*. That's my man!

I really loved when the story moved on to Diesel sprinting away last minute to Colorado to seek answers. The Colorado characters are a whole new (well, we've recently met them here and there) bunch of characters that I absolutely fell in love with! I didn't actually see the story going in that direction and was pleasantly surprised!

But that ending?? Gaaah! My heart! I never thought I'd ever see that big, tough guy open his heart like that and promise forever to his girl. Never. Love it!!

I devoured this story solely in audio and the narrators did a fabulous job on both characters, but I really feel they outdid themselves on the secondary characters. The voices were phenomenal. You never questioned who was talking.

PERFECT narration for a perfectly sweet story.

Such a sweet, sexy story! I absolutely loved the beginning and Dash's persistence with winning Amber over. Aaaaah, yes, the chase. It's one of my favorite parts of a good romance. Tim Paige as Dash was perfect! I had a cheesy grin going on and butterflies with the things Dash said and did. Once Amber said yes, the story moved into a pretty sweet and tame love story with little to no angst with some laughable moments between them and their families. Amber's epilepsy plays a huge part in the story as they navigate how to explore their new relationship as a couple. Meg Sylvan as the female narrator did an amazing job with all the scenes, but I feel went above and beyond in the after seizure scenes. You FELT Amber's tiredness and slow pace. Dash was super sweet and took such great care of Amber as well as her therapy dog. Overall, I feel that, aside from Dash's "toddler grin", he really had zero flaws. He thought of everything, he did amazing things for everyone else, he was perfect. And that ending after their little spat? *Sigh*.

Great Story with OK Narration

Overall: I have to go with 4 stars because the so-so male narration kind of wrecked it for me)

Having met Tank in the previous Wicked book, I was overly anxious to get his story! The beginning of the story had me absolutely focused but it tapered off in the middle for me, picking back up at the very end. The story seems to have two climax points, one in the beginning and another toward the end, and it worked well. Tank and Leah endured a horrific tragedy that brought them together and they have great chemistry.

The two little girls were absolutely adorable and the female narrator did an outstanding job with their characters! I struggled with the male narrator. His voice just didn't feel gruff enough for the Tank Wicked we met in the previous book and he read with unnecessary urgency that got irritating after two chapters and had me eye rolling quite a bit. There's no need to read a basic sentence and make it sound like there's an emergency, sheesh. But again, the female narrator nailed every part.

The heat between Tank and Leah was combustible and Tank's live for the girls and Leah was heart warming. I didn't get teary eyed or need tissues like everyone else suggested (maybe it was audio vs reading). I loved all the family interactions with the siblings and parents, it really makes the story come alive and feel real.

Another great Bruisers story!

I listened to the audio version of Bombshells and loved it. The male narrator gets totally into these sex scenes and sounds breathless at times, making it feel like he's really there in person! 😯🤔

I love Anton, and how they call him Baby Bayer. And, oh my gosh, his Frankenwords are hysterical! After having an off year he's super focused on ditching the playboy/prankster title and upping his game. He's definitely a guy I could be friends with...and have the benefits.

Sylvie is thrust into a goalie position for the new women's team while also dealing with Bryce, a former "almost love" interest. *It's complicated*. So the story has a smidge of a love triangle thing going on. My one hang-up with Sylvie is that she went from trying to coerce/seduce/get answers from Bryce and straight into bed with Anton when Bryce walked away. Like Anton was her fallback or semi-rebound. But I couldn't have that huge of an issue with it because Anton was right there and witnessed the fall out with Bryce. These two. Seriously. 🙄

I absolutely love the lifeguard training with the teens. That was fabulous!

I have a small issue with the narrators and how they pronounce the names differently. Reading the story AS A CHARACTER, they should know how to pronounce a name. If you aren't sure, ask. I've listened to quite a few Bruiser stories and when the female narrator pronounced Beringer with a soft G I was like, Nooooo, you didn't. I know, petty thing to call out but every time I heard it my brain jolted.

Completely smitten!!

All the sweet and swoony words! I absolutely adore Gavin! I've loved him since we met him in an elevator like 2-3 books ago! And Harper is just the sweetest thing ever!! Together they heat up the pages. And the sheets, and the walls, and the shower...

I bounced between Audible and actual reading with this book. But once I got an earful of Jacob Morgan's sweet, sultry voice and my lady bits went berserk it was difficult to go back to just reading. His voice, y'all. I will never tire of listening to Gavin's "So sweet, baby". **Sigh** he's a panty melter alright.

But anyhow, the story. I laughed so hard at Gav and his buddies. Zander is a hoot! And when Harper has her run-in with the dark haired airplane guy? Hahaha!! Together they are amazing!! But hold on, because it's not all sunshine and happy rainbows. Someone has a secret. And it's a doozy!!

Fantastically Amazing!

I had already read the book when it first came out but listening to it was like experiencing it for the first time. SUCH a great story!

The performance was good, Ryan did an excellent job of both male parts as well as the female parts! I preferred his Mona to Lillian's as it had more of that rough, trashy edge to it that fit her character. The part with the fire that was read in Casey's pov by Lillian wasn't as frantic or excited as you would have expected when there's such a major ordeal happening, and was a bit too soft to carry out the feel of panic. But overall, they did a wonderful job bringing such an emotional story to life!

My most favorite Audible book to listen to!

This is a MUST to read AND listen to. The narrator did such a phenomenal job of bringing the story to life that I'm not really sure how I got from point A to point B while driving. 😮 Prepare to get all sorts of hot and bothered. (I've read the book twice and I've lost count how many times I've listened to it.)

Holy Hotness!

I've read Jackson previously and loved him so much I decided to get the audio version as well. No regrets whatsoever. Paul Woodson does an amazing job at bringing these characters and their super sexy scenes to life! I'm so impressed with his ability to relay the character's emotions so clearly.

Oh, and chapter 5...whoa! Totally my favorite scene!
