Great as always!
Revisado: 03-01-25
Awesome character development. all around good story. Just like all of the MHI Main story, Memoirs, and Tales. Fun times, dark humor, gory, gun happy, monster slaughter at its best! Always a treat when Correia looses another killer tale on the world!

Historia
A posthumous recipient of the World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement, Marion Zimmer Bradley reinvented - and rejuvenated - the King Arthur mythos with her extraordinary Mists of Avalon series. In this epic work, Bradley follows the arc of the timeless tale from the perspective of its previously marginalized female characters: Celtic priestess Morgaine, Gwenhwyfar, and High Priestess Viviane.

Beautiful story
Revisado: 02-23-24
I liked the authentic historical perspective concerning religion, war, and cultures. Post war absorbing new culture being integrated into the existing culture. Old religions vilified by the new. While the old just tries to find a way to endure. It's a well thought out narrative that hopefully will find its way into the hands of those narrow of thought. It leaves plenty of room for more to be written in this series. but still wraps things up nicely. Narrator did a great job. All around great story and listening experience.

Not all atheists are lefties guys.
Revisado: 06-13-22
I love the show for the most part. You guys Crack me up! But it bugs me when it turns into a political point pushing show. (and you guys do it a lot) If that's what I wanted to hear, I'd be listening to the Scathing Democrat. The point is, this is about atheism not politics. I'm just saying, I'm a libertarian, atheist, and very open minded. I listen to you guys because of your views on Christianity and I've learned a lot. I feel alienated when you guys go on a tangent pushing left views. And I know I'm not the only atheist on Earth that doesn't take a left/ progressive political stand. Something to think on.

Always intended to read this; lives up to the hype
Revisado: 08-29-21
This was well written. Clevell captured many aspects of feudal era Japanese society and culture. He taps into the soul of Bushido with one hand and misses the mark with the other. Still probably one of my new favorites. I don't know if this was truly the end or if there's another book. If there is, I'd like to read it. I can honestly say that I recommend this to anyone interested in Japanese historical fiction, Samurai, Budo, or tactical strategies. (with a truly well done love story played in. )Much insight into day to day Samurai life here. Well done character development in a lost world of honor, betrayal, life, death, love, hate, the way, dishonor, sepuku, and karma.

Wasn't my favorite in the series. Still good
Revisado: 04-12-21
Just not as great as the rest... well... - Guardian. (never change the damn narrator after several great successes and after the original narrator has already established fantastic, quality voices for the cast of main characters. Even if the story is great ((and Guardian was by no means great. Maybe okay.))that sucks for the listener) Back to this book though. I really like Iron-Hand's character, I enjoy the battle scenes, and the MHI Hoodoo Squad seemed pretty cool. I would have liked to get to know the team better... But, anywho. ;o) Good to see Earl and Ray make appearances. Would have been a great way to get to know more about Ray. But, he's there for a minute, kills some things, then gone. This story just lacks the depths that the others have. I have hope that the endless hack and slash of "Sinners" is just a huge setup for the next book. With that said, it is not a bad story. It is actually good. Compared to MHI through Nemesis, it's a bit shallow, making it seem not as good. Here's hoping for a better next book in the MHI universe.

Historia
Agent Franks of the U.S. Monster Control Bureau is a man of many parts - parts from other people, that is. Franks is nearly seven feet tall and all muscle. He's nearly indestructible. Plus he’s animated by a powerful alchemical substance and inhabited by a super-intelligent spirit more ancient than humanity itself. Good thing he’s on our side. More or less.

Revisado: 03-25-21
I was already a Franks fan. This book took his character to a whole new level of Bad-Ass-ness! If you are a MHI series junkie and have made it this far or skipped this one for some reason, get it now and read it! It is honestly a great story, presented in true Larry Correia style. Guns blazing in chaotic battles. Great story lines. Brutal descriptions of titanic clashes between classic and unique monsters, a smidge of drama, maybe a bit of love, just the right amount of humor to top it off like literary sprinkles topping a fantastic "Unicorn" flavored cupcake... and bacon.

plesently surprised by how good it was
Revisado: 01-02-21
Bought it on sale to give it a go and low and behold, it was pretty darn good! Well defined characters, enough mysterious intrigue left unsaid that you keep going back for more. For example: The Javelin and it's unique AI persona. Hope to find out more on that. Yet, it's not lacking in action, plot, or significant events. One of the better sci fi books I've read in a long while! Looking forward to the rest of the series now.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the 1969 moon landing, this major drama-documentary series charts the definitive story of the past, present and future of humankind’s exploration of space. The Space Race is narrated by Kate Mulgrew and features a full cast.

Historia
Neil Gaiman has long been inspired by ancient mythology in creating the fantastical realms of his fiction. Now he turns his attention back to the source, presenting a bravura rendition of the great northern tales. In Norse Mythology, Gaiman fashions primeval stories into a novelistic arc that begins with the genesis of the legendary nine worlds; delves into the exploits of the deities, dwarves, and giants; and culminates in Ragnarok, the twilight of the gods and the rebirth of a new time and people.
