I've never heard a more committed or passionate performance. Taron is a genius actor/narrator. He was exquisite in Rocketman, but here he inhabits Elton John totally. Captured the pathos, the joy, the pain, the self effacement. Remarkable!!!

Flynn's protagonist, Mitch Rapp, is a quintessential hard-ass, who takes crap from no one. It's exhilarating how he speaks truth to power, and always seems to know the best way to approach a situation, whether it's through intimidation or even threats of torture. he has no time for political bullshit, has he is too busy saving the world. What a guy! But the man who brings him to life, George Guidall, deserves equal billing. He is mesmerizing in bringing the listener into the story to care so much about the characters. You will find yourself cheering for Rapp throughout this great listening experience.

I wasn't sure what to expect when listening to this novel. took awhile to figure out what was motivating the character, and then the devil appeared and it all made sense. I liked the attitudes that were given to the various characters by the narrator. they were clearly defined, and you could sense the relationship. It's a short book, and a fun read (or listen).

Thoroughly enjoyed learning about this amazing man. his accomplishments, and his influences, are astounding. I thought Fred did a terrific job narrating. he has a very soft, even Cadence, that sometimes left me drifting, but he always came back.
