Full of clich?'s
Revisado: 11-24-08
In this book men are silent, strong and capable. Woman are weepy and sentimental and asking all the time: What's happening? Or: What's going to happen now?
The dialogues are incredibly poor. Two stars for the parts about flying.
This book is not for any female who can think for herself.

Historia
When Mark Hartmann is asked to perform a post-mortem on a lab assistant killed by cancer, everything looks straightforward. But his initial findings are surprising: Millicent Sweet appears to have died of several different, aggressive tumours. Before he can discuss this with colleagues, he's called to a conference in Scotland. A serious error of judgement gives a pharmaceutical company a handle on him, and they threaten to expose his excesses unless he falsifies his report on Sweet.

Wonderful

I am an ten books an month listener, and I LOVED this book. Very british, very stylish, thrilling story and a wonderful narrator. (Of course he has a brittish accent, he IS brittish!) If you want to listen to an american accent, don't listen to this book. If you want to listen to quality, do, and enjoy!

Outstanding!
Revisado: 10-01-06
I've never written a Review before, although I've listened to many, many books. But this time I just HAVE to do it, because The Prestige is such a wonderful book, and extremely well narrated.
This book has everything a book should have. There's an original storyline (which is refreshing when there is SO much more of the same these days), it's beautifully written, there's suspense and some horror, the characters are interesting, and it's the sort of story you want to hear again right after you have finished it.
Okay, the first half of te book can be a bit slow for some people. This book is not a glass of beer, but a wonderful glass of excellent wine. It has to be savoured. Sit back and let the magic do it's work!
