This book is a very visceral account of a German soldier on the Russian front. Amazing chronicle of life, death, and retreat. Wounded, starved, and hopeless soldiers trying to find a reason to live.

Excellent Mid 60s History of Marines in Vietnam.

The pros aren't real descriptive but for those interested in heavy contact, WOW! Stories are told of all types of situations and missions. A lot takes place in Vietnam below the DMZ in I Corps. I had much respect for the Marines and Corpsman in Grunt, Recon, Helicopter, and all the other units stationed in Vietnam but I now have an exponential amount of respect for them! Semper Fi Brothers, thank you for your distinguished and outstanding service!

Among Marines!

This is a very accurate depiction of " the boonies " in Vietnam. A very visceral account of Marines making their way through a mission and finding a way to complete it. Nothing glamorous or appealing about the task at hand. It certainly doesn't push the reader in any type of fervor making you wish you were there in the jungle. I don't know what else to say accept it's well worth a read or listen.

The story starts before the Comanche rule the plains. The story deals with the rise and fall including the exploits of Quanah Parker. Parker was formidable as an indian warrior an became a match as a negotiator and caretaker of his people! Interesting and well told!

The Australian version of,"The Stonewall Brigade."

Like The Stonewall Brigade these Australian Militia Men fought in New Guinea without food, uniforms, ammunition and the like. All the people engaged in this campaign whether Japanese, Australian, New Guinean Tribesman, fought with tremendous spirit through the adversity. Amazing read!

Col Mosby was of the Kings of asymmetrical warfare

Besides being an excellent book about the tales of John Mosby the Parisan Ranger it is a great example of a great man and a great American. Fair dealings and truth telling were Mosby's way of life. A raider who would rather not take life. We (The United States) could use several thousand Mosbys in our modern government today. What has happened to us?
