Hard to follow
Revisado: 11-02-10
Jumps and skips all over for the first half which makes it hard to follow. I had to go back several times to try to figure out how they got to where they were but it didn't help. It is almost like they skipped every other page in the reading. Beside that it was just plain boring. All sex, no relationship building.

Historia
Twenty-four-year-old barista Belle Jamison dreams of a better job and a decent love life - until a crazy scientist spikes her mocha latte! Suddenly, Belle can wield the four elements - earth, wind, fire and water - with only a thought. Coffee too hot? No problem. Hair in need of a blow-dry? Done. Gorgeous government agent Rome Masters has been sent to neutralize Belle. There's just one problem: the sparks Belle and Rome generate are even hotter than the ones flying from her eyes!

How old is the author?
Revisado: 09-16-10
My sister recommeded this author. So I tried one when it went on a 4.95 sale. She writes like a child and throws in some "adult" scenes for some unknown reason. What is she 14 or 15 years old? I read a wide variety of genres, but this book fails no matter what genre you try to fit it into. There is MUCH better out there if you are looking for Young Adult, Romance, Mystery, Adventure, or whatever.

Historia
The sphere is alien in origin, but has been controlled by Man for millennia. A legend as old as the stars rules this constructed world: when the seventh seventh seventh human Heptarch is crowned, he will be the Kristos and will bring eternal salvation...or the destruction of the cosmos.

Typical Card
Revisado: 09-16-10
This is so typical of Card's work. Superbly hyped, by extremely disappointing. The story drags on and on. The only good thing I can say is that it is not out right plagiarrism like some of his other writings

Historia
The year is 2380. The Intersolar Commonwealth, a sphere of stars some 400 light-years in diameter, contains more than 600 worlds, interconnected by a web of transport "tunnels" known as wormholes. At the farthest edge of the Commonwealth, astronomer Dudley Bose observes the impossible: Over 1,000 light-years away, a star...vanishes. It does not go supernova. It does not collapse into a black hole. It simply disappears.

Too much "gristle"
Revisado: 02-20-10
It took me the better part of a year to finish this book. The first 35 hours or so were mostly boring. I purchased this and a couple other books by this author sight unseen on a 4.95 sale. I'll listen to them all eventually simply because I've bought them.
The premise of the book is good but there is way too much uneccesary detail bogging down the story and the build up takes much too long. An abridged version that trims most of the "gristle" would likely rate 4 - 5 stars
