I was a Navy nuke for a little over 20 years, all of them after Admiral Rickover's death, hence after the Coldwar had been won, and I can say that much of what is detailed here was still true of how the program was being run when I left.

The perfect book for me

I love this book so much... if I could afford to set up a foundation to buy this book for anyone who wanted a copy I would. As a free thinking atheist I certainly don't agree with every sentence in this book, but being able to disagree with even one is important.
Thank you Greta. We each evolve in to godlessness in our own way, and this was not the one thing that convinced me... reading the Bible 40 years ago started me on that journey. It took about 5 years, mostly college, and many OTHER religious texts to realize it was ALL hogwash. Then it took me another 10 years for me to even come out to my closest nonreligious friends...
Thank you, Greta for this final summation of so many true things and why we should not believe or support the untrue. I will buy many copies to keep in my bookshelf and when someone asks me 'Why so many copies? ' I'll say 'Like so many other books I've enjoyed I want to be able to share this with those who show interest. Please take a copy of you are interested.'

The main character is a female. Why wouldn't you have a female narrator?
Overall plot and characters were about as bland as could be imagined.

Best Star Wars book I've listened to...

Despite the sound effects the story and narrator gave this the depth and timing necessary to get past the constant triggers caused by the background sound

It's an great book and great narration, but all of the background effects and noises just wind up being annoying... I wish I could turn them off.

Excellent story and narrator

I can find little fault with this story... although it did bother me when she left the farm planet and returned to the P[F?]ardees ... there seemed in consistency in the storyline. Perhaps the author needed some time to figure their direction after the farmers didn't follow directions...
