Historia
On a sunny May morning in 1998 in Cortez, Colorado, three desperados in a stolen truck opened fire on the town cop, shooting him 20 times; then they blasted their way past dozens of police cars and disappeared into 10,000 square miles of the harshest wilderness terrain on the North American continent. Self-trained survivalists, the outlaws eluded the most sophisticated law enforcement technology on the planet and a pursuit force that represented more than 75 local, state, and federal police agencies with dozens of SWAT teams, U.S. Army Special Forces....

Interesting story and narrated well.
Revisado: 03-27-25
Some of have complained about the assumptions and conclusions the author relays in the book. I found his ideas quite thought provoking and extremely plausible. We will never know the whole truth about what happened and why. But this is an outstanding book, well written, about an unfortunate event in the American West.

Egotistical, know it alls.
Revisado: 06-29-22
I listened to a couple episodes, and thought they were boring. I love history, but not the way these women tell it. Then I listened to the most recent (June 28, 2022) episode, and that settled it. They interviewed Mellanie of Veterans Paranormal. What an egotistical, self proclaiming expert she was. When you are a member of a field of study you don't cut down, ridicule, and bash other investigators. Everyone has their own investigation style, but Mellanie quite bluntly pointed out that anyone who believed in some of the top paranormal investigators are stupid. If you like to listen to people talk about how great they are, how smart they are, this is the podcast for you. Open minded paranormal enthusiasts, just pass this one by.

I loved this story. The characters are bright and full of life. They are unique and so very interesting. It is a story with a mystery, a romance, the trials of family, life in a small town and sweet magic.

A heartwarming story of the power of family.
Revisado: 01-07-22
After reading the Tradd Street series I wanted to read more of Karen White's writing. Finding Falling Home was an absolute treat. It is a heartwarming story of a woman's return to home and discovering the joy of family. Karen White always does an amazing job of making the read feel they are at the location of the story. You can feel the heat and the humidity of this small southern town. Her characters are loveable. You want to sit on the front porch swing with a glass of lemonade and get to know them. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and have to admit, I ugly cried at the end. The narrator did a wonderful job of capturing the voices. She does a fantastic job. Just a wonderful story with all the feels.

Another great story from Lori Foster
Revisado: 01-05-22
As with the first two in this series, I loved this story. The characters are a wonderful mix of tough and sweet. The story line involves such an important issue of today, and it is covered well. I especially appreciate a female character that is smart and tough without being a bitch. Madison, as all of the characters are, is well rounded and likeable. My only dislike was the narrator's voice for Madison. He made it sound as though she speaks is short, choppy sentences. I just feel there is more warmth to her than that. But overall, a fantastic read.. Maybe one more in the series for Bernard?!? LOL A girl can hope.

Want a taste wonderful taste of good ole Southern small town living? You have found it with The Ladies' Room. Trudy gets a big dose of reality, and it sends her on a journey of finding out just what her life should be. I laughed so much and cheered her on throughout the book. Looking forward to reading more of Carolyn Brown's novels.

Absolutely loved this book. It is a nicely written romance tucked into a suspenseful, exciting story. Wasn't entirely fond of the narrator, but after the first chapter I was so enthralled by the storyline, I didn't mind the narration. Excited to start the 2nd book!

Painful
Revisado: 11-23-20
I do not want to offend, but this was horrible! It was painful at best to listen to it. He may have had some good advice at some point, but the first few chapters were so awful to listen to, I couldn't finish. Unless you get it for free, do not waste your money or credits.

Fun story, narration was painful to listen to
Revisado: 10-29-20
I love Jill Shalvis's books. This was probably my least favorite. It really drags at the beginning. The narration was horrible, very monotone. I honestly stopped the audible version after the second chapter and finished reading it. I will definitely shy away from any book with this narrator.
