I loved this audiobook.
Revisado: 11-05-12
What did you love best about Total Recall?
Well, it really gives everything you could hope for. Everything from his rivalry with Sergio, to his affair with the maid. If I had it all to do over again, I would definitely buy this audiobook. This book is so multi, multi, multi dimensional. I could not believe how comprehensive it was.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Sergio Oliva. You realize how much respect Arnold had for Sergio, and you get a pretty vivid picture of the kind of guy Sergio Oliva is.
What does Stephen Lang and Arnold Schwarzenegger bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
As with any audiobook, it is just easier to consume. You don't have to strain your eyes. It was pretty funny when he was talking about how heartbroken he was when Barbara left him after 6 years. He obviously loved her very much.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I enjoyed the book. But due to it's comprehensive nature, it is just impossible to listen to all at once. It took me like a week.
Any additional comments?
I would have liked to have heard him talk about the highly controversial 1980 Mr. Olympia and conflict with Mike Mentzer. But, I guess he did'nt think it was a good idea to speak ill of Mentzer after he has died. Also, he spent a lot of time talking about each individual movie. Well, that part was a bit tiresome, but that is just my personal preference, since I was more interested in the bodybuilding part. I would also like to have heard more dirt exposed on the Weiders, and the bodybuilding industry. Arnold just the same as admitted that he hyped some of the supplements, to the extent of outright lying about the benefits, I would have like to have seen a bit of remorse about that. But, hey, that is not a comment about the quality of the book, but the values of the man. He also lied to people when he was in the bricklaying business and took advantage of the Americans who trusted him. That is kind of dirty, and I would have like to have heard an apology for that. Add it all up and I reckon Arnold did a lot more good for the world than bad. Nobody is perfect, and the should not be expected to be.

Been listening for over an hour and....
Revisado: 06-22-12
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
nobody
What do you think your next listen will be?
I don't know.
How could the performance have been better?
Cut the crap out. I have been listening for an hour and do not have one useful, practical idea for organizing all my stuff.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment. Nice lady, but this book is all fluff, and philosophizing, and listening to this lady crap on forever. This lady is the Robert Kiyosaki of getting organized. She is like telling us how wonderful it is going to be once we get organized, and and she is talking about zen, and telling us how to say 'no', and having us blame our parents because we are messy, or maybe we are doing it to get revenge on our mom and all of this crap, and just on, and on, and on. Was she paid by the word for this book? I have never heard so many words spoken about nothing since the last time I watched the Home Shopping Network.
