Historia
Are there sociopaths in your life? You bet! You may not recognize them, or they may not be serial killers. Perhaps they are not causing any trouble at all. But to know what to look for is pretty important, if you ask me. It’s interesting that some people just don’t have that much of a conscience. And every person chooses how to deal with that differently. It can reflect on their actions in different ways.

Yet another hit piece on the political right
Revisado: 01-08-21
I'm so tired of these books turning out to be hit pieces on trump and anyone slightly more to the right than marx. I don't care about american politics and I hope that with trump out of the picture I will find less garbage on this website.

Historia
Michael Pollan, known for his best-selling nonfiction audio, including The Omnivores Dilemma and How to Change Your Mind, conceived and wrote Caffeine: How Caffeine Created the Modern World as an Audible Original. In this controversial and exciting listen, Pollan explores caffeine’s power as the most-used drug in the world - and the only one we give to children (in soda pop) as a treat.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

The author explains the issues at hand in a very well articulated, reasonably apolitical manner. I think this book is very useful to understand human relationships and modern society.
The one small criticism I have is that many first hand testimonies could be hard to understand for non-native english speakers. I had trouble making out spoken words due to bad recording quality and/or the interviewee not being as well spoken as the author. Nothing major though, it was still easy to follow.

“Kill your ego,” says man with ego the size of a planet.
Revisado: 01-27-18
Good advice delivered by an unbearably egotistical man who can’t go ten seconds without gloating about his life and family.
Also, like clockwork, he namedrops his self-help book writing fuckbuddies once per chapter.
You can get the same advice pretty much anywhere else so skip this unless you have a high tolerance for bullshit humblebrag stories.
