A magic swordsman hero
Revisado: 09-25-24
The story kept me going through all three books. Fighting without being gruesome. A bit of romance without being squishy. The performance was wonderful.

Historia
In the blink of an eye, everyone disappears. Gone. Except for the young. There are teens, but not one single adult. Just as suddenly, there are no phones, no Internet, no television. No way to get help. And no way to figure out what's happened. Hunger threatens. Bullies rule. A sinister creature lurks. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents - unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers - that grow stronger by the day. It's a terrifying new world.

Modern Lord of the Flies
Revisado: 08-16-24
The story has a good basis & some surprises, but there were lots of holes. Maybe there will get filled in with the sequel; just it's hard to imagine how the situation was not a topic of discussion more for these kids trapped making adult decisions. I truly was frustrated by the emphasized "Sam Said," "Drake said," "Cain said," "Lana said,"... It got the point that I cringed each time "said" was said.
