Historia
Maire is a baker with an extraordinary gift: she can infuse her treats with emotions and abilities, which are then passed on to those who eat them. She doesn't know why she can do this and remembers nothing of who she is or where she came from. When marauders raid her town, Maire is captured and sold to the eccentric Allemas, who enslaves her and demands that she produce sinister confections, including a witch's gingerbread cottage, a living cookie boy, and size-altering cakes.

Nikolai Wroth, a ruthless vampire general, will stop at nothing to find his bride, the one woman who can "blood" him, making his heart beat and filling him with strength. Coldly interested only in the power his bride will bring, he can hardly believe when Myst the Coveted awakens him body - and soul.

A good beginning
Revisado: 10-15-16
Would you consider the audio edition of The Warlord Wants Forever to be better than the print version?
Yes, mostly because Robert Petkoff could make the phone book sexy.
What other book might you compare The Warlord Wants Forever to and why?
Deep Kiss of Winter. Both target some of the worst issues that can happen in a relationship, but just can't hold my interest as some of Cole's other books. This is because both books have the men growing up but the women hardly changing at all.
Which scene was your favorite?
The scene where Myst forgives Nikoli. Nothing like a round of goul carnage and the rescue of a general in distress to bring a couple together.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
I'm so happy this was redone with Robert Petkoff. The last one was just a mess.

Can the duo forget their differences and resume their strangely successful sleuthing partnership?

Addictive and Irritating
Revisado: 07-25-16
What made the experience of listening to Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist the most enjoyable?
Agatha finally stood up to James! Yay, I really find it hard to pity the guy.
What other book might you compare Agatha Raisin and the Terrible Tourist to and why?
Any other in the series, it truly is one of a kind.
Which scene was your favorite?
The final scene, not because it was finished but because James was the one waiting like a sad puppy for once.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
A lot of rage. These characters were somewhat likeable together, but when they fight wish I could smack some sense into them sometimes.
Any additional comments?
A peak in the series. Finally there is some, a nanometer really, of personal growth in our main character. Hopefully the next book doesn't have her backsliding.

If you could sum up Les Liaisons Dangereuses in three words, what would they be?
Cousin Better Reworked
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The tangled web of revenge spoiling innocent love.
What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

Historia
After discovering just how filled with magic, intrigue, and adventure the parahuman world of being an undead American can be, Fredrick Frankford Fletcher did exactly what was expected - he became a certified parahuman accountant. Myths and legends, as it turns out, are not so great at taking appropriate deductions and keeping their receipts, and Fred is more than happy to return to a life others view as woefully dull, expanding his accounting business to cater to various monsters.

Sweet and Awkward
Revisado: 07-25-16
What did you love best about Undeath and Taxes?
The fact that it is multiple stories in one book and each one is more interesting than the last.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The Alpha of the Region, the way he is with his daughter makes me feel things I thought died some time ago.
What does Kirby Heyborne bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
A sense of ease in the story, he doesn't rush it or act like he's reading a phone book. He sets an easy pace to let the listener absorb the story's details and shows each character's individual personality.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Every time.

Historia
When siblings Dan and Hayley Daley inherit their late grandmother's derelict Victorian farmhouse, it seems like a dream come true. All they have to do is fix the place up and sell it for a tidy profit! Except - as anyone who has renovated an old house knows - things are never that easy. The walls are rapidly crumbling around them, the architect is a certified lunatic, the budget is spiraling...and then there's the disturbingly intelligent cow to worry about.

Almost busted a gut laughing
Revisado: 07-25-16
What made the experience of listening to Bricking It the most enjoyable?
The fact that I can actually see these sort of messed up misadventures happening in real life. From finding troubling secrets of family past to somehow setting recreational marijuana accidentally in a bonfire.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bricking It?
When our remodelers find a bundle of disturbing, ancient sex toys in the chimney.
What does Napoleon Ryan and Heather Wilds bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The two play off each other very well, managing to establish their own voice in the story without overpowering the other.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
As previously stated, I nearly busted a gut laughing. If you're feeling blue, put this on for about fifteen minutes and it might do the same for you.
Any additional comments?
Inappropriate and yet completely dead on when it comes to the action and reaction of a group of people stuck in...well I'll admit it...the skeleton of a house. Some thoughts of philosophy, personal growth, and the reestablishment of family bonds in the weirdest of ways. Even without the stealth ninja cow.

The Cook

The scene where the team of hedgehogs help our heroine in her first challenge.

When Bailey and Poppet meet as adults.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Another great one
Revisado: 04-06-16
Excellently cast and written. It had me smiling, laughing, and even crying a little. It's the sort of book that makes you feel as if you're growing up with the characters alongside the hero, and any loss or joy they feel is your own.
