Best narrated audio book ever on VBA
Revisado: 05-13-23
This book is so great because the narrator properly reads out the actual codes without just skipping and saying "for details please refer to the written version of this book". It helps me to memorize the basic codes without sitting and reading the book, just by listening to this book over and over again in my spare time and when I am on the move. I highly recommend this audio book. I hope other VBA books are narrated like this book.

The secrets of successful digital transformation are usually tightly held by the organisations that achieved them; this new title unlocks the 'how' of transformation through digital innovation.

It was generic
Revisado: 06-16-18
The story was long, but the content was not much. I think it would be better if the story is presented more concisely.

Good to hear the VBA codes being read aloud
Revisado: 02-24-18
What made the experience of listening to Secrets of VBA for Modelers: Developing Decision Support Systems with Microsoft Office Excel the most enjoyable?
I liked this book because of the way VBA codes are being read out. I plan to listen to this book many times to memorise the codes.
What does Curt Bonnem bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He read the codes in the way listeners can learn the codes.
Any additional comments?
I'd like to get a similar audiobook where the VBA fundamental syntax and codes are being read out to help learning by memorisation.

Reading spoils the memorability
Revisado: 02-04-18
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The reading is focused on getting lower case and capital letters right and it spoils the comprehensibleness of the content and the codes. I couldn't follow the codes being read because of so many "Capital S, h e e t , rather than just reading it as "sheet". Please do not read it with so much focus on getting capital and lower letters right. The most important thing is to give the listeners an idea of the codes rather than getting us to try to figure out by listening what is being spelled out.
Would you ever listen to anything by Daniel Jones again?
I may, if the reading method is changed to more listener friendly way. I don't mind codes being read out as it helps me to remember the codes, but when it is read with so many "Capital S and lower h...", and spelling out words, it completely spoils the comprehensibility.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I couldn't follow the codes being read because of the reasons above.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
The idea of reading codes was good, rather than skipping them all together like some other audiobooks However, I didn't like too many capital and lower case distinction and spelling out the codes, rather than reading them like normal words.
