A clever intriguing page turner
Revisado: 12-24-18
Lady Hardcastle and her maid/confidant Florence Armstrong have retired to the London after many years of stressful adventures. Narrator Elizabeth Knowelden captures the characters of both friends and all the other players very ably. As Lady Hardcastle and Flo work to solve the mystery, I could feel them come to life, and at the satisfying conclusion of this first book/audio narrative ,am eager to continue their adventures.

From a wonderful new voice in fiction comes the freshest and funniest novel to barrel down the pike since Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. In Beginner's Luck, Pedersen introduces us to the endearing oddballs of Cosgrove County, Ohio, who burst to life and steal our hearts--and none more so than Hallie Palmer, 16, savvy, and wise beyond her years, a young woman who knows life is a gamble...and sometimes you have to bet the house.

A wonderful Classic
Revisado: 07-09-18
Who young or old doesn't feel the thrill of adventure listening to this classic by Robert Louis Stevenson. The people of that time where a much hardier bunch than we are today. I am sure there are still treasures too be discovered if only we had the right map.

When a series of strange intuitions leads him to a crime in progress, Joe jumps headlong into danger without hesitation. In the aftermath, he wonders about the uncanny impulse that suddenly swept over him. Until new friend Portia Montclair, the strangely wise daughter of the local police chief, explains to him what sent him ricocheting around town like a crazy pinball.

Another Dean Koontz winner
Revisado: 01-07-18
Unlike Stephen King, whose stories often have negative endings, Dean Koontz, works are usually positive. It's not that I dislike King or and I do not need "They lived happily ever after". Dean has found a middle ground and it's terrific..

Historia
College teacher Ellie Standish awakens from a night's doze to find herself on a bizarre historical train full of late Victorian era re-enactors who refuse to come out of character. When the leader of the group-handsome, green-eyed Robert Chamberlain-finally convinces her the date is indeed 1901, a skeptical Ellie rejects any eccentric theories of time travel and presumes she is smack dab in the middle of a very interesting historical dream. She turns the directorial reins of her dream over to smitten and willing Robert, only to realize that dreams cannot last forever.

Nice Romantic Take On Time Travel
Revisado: 05-26-16
The story is not complex, but the Edwardian era was well portrayed.
I wasn't sure I liked the narrator in the first chapter, but he got into stride and I enjoyed his performance.
