Historia
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

The performance was great as usual.
Revisado: 09-08-24
While the performance was a solid 5, the story lacked depth. Eve has to have regular cases, but this one seemed forced. Plot was good. Characters reflected modern day life. The crime could have been better done. It would have been interesting if the case hadn’t been left. I guess we needed a low key book.

Nemesis!
Revisado: 02-01-24
Nemesis is funny as hell, and it’s…Nemesis. I was hesitant at first. I loved the previous Nemesis books to the point they are on my yearly read list. So, I was hesitant. (I apologize to the Great Jeremy Robinson for doubting.) This was the perfect balance of old and new. It’s familiar and new at the same time. Genuinely brilliant writing. RC Bray is phenomenal. He hits all the right notes, perfectly. Jeremy Robinson continues to evolve as a writer naturally. A very long time reader, I highly recommend this book to all readers, old and new. Don’t hesitate and open your mind. Even if you haven’t read any other Nemesis books, you’ll be okay. But it was great fun catching all the little things that reminded me of the old as it took a road of new. True 5 stars in my opinion. But, I’ve never read a bad Robinson book.

I struggled to finish. Not because of Bray or Robinson. I struggled because I didn't want to be finished. Other than that, it was great! I can't give spoilers. You have to read it.

Historia
It was a glittering event full of A-listers, hosted by Eliza Lane and Brant Fitzhugh, a celebrity couple who’d conquered both Hollywood and Broadway. And now Eve Dallas has made her entrance—but not as a guest. After raising a toast, Fitzhugh fell to the floor and died, with physical symptoms pointing to cyanide, and the police have crashed the party. From all accounts, he wasn’t the kind of star who made enemies. Everyone loved him—even his ex-wife. And since the champagne cocktail that killed him was originally intended for Eliza, it’s possible she was the real target.

The book I've been waiting for.
Revisado: 02-12-23
Personal relationships have been creeping into Eve's world, and we've seen a change in crimes as Eve's world opened up. This book was a pure balance between personal and murder. I didn't figure out who did it until about the time Eve did. That is something that rarely happens. I am impressed with the way the whole book was written. I'm not going to give anything away. I'll just say I enjoyed every misdirected minute. Narration was spot on as usual. Roark has matured. If possible, he's more steady and relaxed. Peabody is becoming secure in her world, and she's learning. My only statement is that...Mavis needs that statue! Highly recommend this book.

Historia
Books and Bug are polar opposites, despite their friendship. Rumors on the road speak of a hospital in Washing D.C. Leading a small group of survivors, including pregnant women, the two travel in earnest to provide the soon-to-be mothers a safe place to deliver. Bug–a natural, charismatic leader–refuses to leave anyone behind while Books–a pragmatic social outsider–wishes not to be responsible for the safety of others. Together, they're exactly what this group needs to survive. But DC isn't exactly the safe haven they hoped for.

Amazing work
Revisado: 10-14-22
Ford, Gayou, and Bray...what more needs to be said? New characters, new location, and a character from prior books. Beyond amazed that I cannot tell who wrote what. I read a lot of each authors work. Am impressed with this collaboration and look forward to more.
The story is very well done. Characters come to life and you quickly become immersed in the personalities. Grease, Books, Taps and Knox are brilliantly written. Each are separate and distinct. When an old friend showed up, the world was complete.
I don't want to give too much away about the plot...but the description of event and setting are so vivid I was standing at the corner of a building feeling the adrenaline.
Highly recommend. Bray is amazing. He brought this world to life.

Great book!
Revisado: 07-19-22
I loved the series when I read it and highly recommend it. Antony King did an amazing job varying the tones of his narration for all the characters. I will be watching for more narrations done by him for sure!
The Old Man is a great character. He is truly a flawed human who tries his best. Family is important and the book revolves around them. This book jumps around as the plague takes hold. It was easy to follow. The way you learn about how the world falls apart is almost exactly how I expect it would. The progression of the story moves smoothly. I quickly developed favorite characters. The underlying message of this book is honor. From the sword, Willow the dog, to the dad forced to face abandoning his daughter, honor was apparent. It really worked for me as a reader.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys zompoc and the human story that plays out. There is an excellent balance of both.

Historia
The woman’s body was found in the early morning, on a bench in a New York City playground. She was clean, her hair neatly arranged, her makeup carefully applied. But other things were very wrong—like the tattoo and piercings, clearly new. The clothes, decades out of date. The fatal wound hidden beneath a ribbon around her neck. And the note: Bad Mommy, written in crayon as if by a child.

Great Eve Dallas
Revisado: 02-11-22
Amazingly great storyline. Just not a lot in it at the end. This novel easily could have been another 5,000 words and I would have been estatic. The flow was classic Robb except it wasn't. It was interesting how it felt like the same characters in a different book. Like the Now and Before a lot! Really was enjoying the book and was so disappointed in the rushed end.
Devoured it and will relisten because I love the Mavis and Peabody story lines. Really enjoy how Peabody has changed and I want Mavis as my best friend. Loved that Jaime was developed a little more. Love this series and will continue to read.
Narration was wonderful! Excellent use of voices. I'm still going back and doing a relisten to the series with this novel added in.

I was expecting an enjoyable reading experience. What I got was an amazing journey. The story is excellent. Character development was very strong. When it goes bad the story gets better. The writing is superior. Bray was great and sounded like he was enjoying reading this novel. I'm not going to put any spoilers in this review. It's that good of a read. Highly recommend!

The best
Revisado: 12-03-21
I have to say that both the author and narrator are in my top 3 favorite of all time list. So I might be a little biased. I didn't expect a completely different but the same novel as Infinite. All of our favorite characters are here. Each has an important role to play. The story is great. Plot is a surprise. The ending was amazing. Excellent use of narrator voices and expressions as always. RC Bray performs like he is enjoying the read. With JR it's always a wild ride. Highly recommend!
