A Beautiful Journey Across Time and Place
Revisado: 01-20-24
As a reader, I always yearn for a story that not only entertains but also transports me into its world. This fiction achieves that. It's a story across different timelines, and yet it manages to flow seamlessly, demonstrating exceptional skill.
The story left me with an anticipation of exploring Geneva and Rio through filing me with an eager itch for adventure, highlighting the authors ability to stir wonder within the hearts of readers. The mentioning of landmarks of the cities described in the book are so well presented that the curiosity to visit and experience them is awakened.
What excites me most is the prospect of continuing the journey in the next book of the Seven Sisters series. She has set a high bar with her storytelling, a complex tapestry of characters, relationships, and revelations that tie into a larger, intricate plot that promises to unfold with each subsequent installment.
In closing, this book is more than just a credible piece of fiction—it is a literary portal to different lands and eras, crafted carefully with passion and precision. It's a book that does not simply end on the last page, but rather leaves its narrative threads lingering in your thoughts, beckoning you to follow them into the next adventure. For anyone who loves a story that encompasses history, travel, and a mystery that tugs you along, this book is a must-read. And as for myself, you can be sure I'm eagerly picking up the next book.

Very practical
Revisado: 11-11-23
What stands out for me is the practicality of the given tools for enhancing faith and self-discovery. Particularly, the concept of journaling which I had underestimated in the past resonated with me deeply. "You are more than you've been told" has been a revelation to me, reminding me of my inherent worth and potential. It's a book that I believe everyone should read not just for spiritual growth but also for personal development and self-awareness.

Heavy read… be warned.
Revisado: 03-04-23
This is a heavy read. I learnt a lot about some of the feelings navigating on this planet. I was tempted to stop reading as it felt a bit too traumatic… but persevered. I learnt to sit with some of the uncomfortable feelings… it’s worth reading but heavy. I think one must read it with a friend and not alone so one can talk about some of unpack some of negative feelings it unearths. Like most people escapism is one of the key methods I use to cope. But I pushed through… I think it was worth it. But be ready for a heavy read.

Self Coaching
Revisado: 02-04-23
I’ve just gone through this audible book. I found it practical and easy to understand. The tools are also within reach.
I’m going to go over it again being more intentional about the tools she provides. I’m selecting two simple yet difficult goals to focus on this month (February) I guess I can properly review it in a month whether I’m winning or not. But also as I internalize the learnings through the process. #selfcoachingtools

Honest, transparent and vulnerable
Revisado: 11-19-22
Enjoyed this book. I was raised by a village myself. I’ve felt the cracks in the village after my grandmother passed away. This book helped me understand why that is and made me realize I was not alone.
I love the authenticity! I love the openness. Devon took us into his upbringing and also some of the struggles into adulthood. What stood out for me is his mindset. Ability to see beauty in ashes. Going forward I’m going to pay more attention to the beauty that is in my ashes.

While this book is old it made me realize the principles of wealth management have not changed much. I loved its simplicity and practicality. You do not have to be a qualified finance professional to understand it or create a plan using its principles. Very informative

Transparent and authentic.
Revisado: 05-29-21
I love Michelle’s book. She is so open and authentic. A lot of times when we conquer something we think it’s return is a sign of our weakness or failure. Michelle demonstrates strength and resilience through her journey. She reminds us through this book that there is no shame in fighting to posses your healing over and over again. That faith and hope can exist in the midst of longing and a not yet answered prayer. Michelle also encourages us to accept ourselves and love ourselves with our struggles no matter what they may be. As I was reading there was a shift in my spirit, encouraged to see my true self and not define my identity by my struggles. That I’m worthy and beautiful in the midst of struggles. Our struggles are part of our story but are not who we are. Through this book I’m reminded yet again that the secrete of true healing is vulnerability with God, self and few trusted friends.

Who would imagine being friends with Eve - the woman who’s been held responsible for the fall of humanity (and cramps) for thousands of years? Certainly not Sarah Jakes Roberts. That is, not until Sarah discovered she is more like Eve than she cares to admit. Everyone faces trials, and everyone will mess up. But failure should not be the focus. Your focus should not be on who you were but rather the pursuit of who you can become.

Woman Evolve felt like a command than just a title of the book...
Revisado: 04-27-21
I struggled to write a review on this book because I felt read by it.... Ever had dreams in your heart for God that felt too big? Ever felt like your reality was laughing at you and saying yeah right? Ever felt like it maybe too late and you may have missed the Lord’s timing? Sarah gives us permission to dream big while keeping us accountable by leading us to a place where we see the need to create alignment between our short term goals and our long term vision....
Through this book I was reminded yet again that those who do mighty things for God choose to do in the the midst of fear and self doubt. They continuously make a choice on whether fear paralyzes them or serves as fuel. They choose to let fear take them to a place of total dependence on God.
Sarah reminds us that with obedience God can use a human life to do the impossible and those who win don’t win alone.... They win because they have invited a tribe to walk alongside them. They win because they evolve from their mistakes and go after the promises of God. Eve, missed the will of God in the garden, yet she still honored the call of God of “Be Fruitful and Multiply”. Are you going to stay stuck or are you going to let God restore you into the plan He has for your life?!
Who is in your tribe? Who is correcting you when you miss it? Those who accomplish much more... embrace openness and vulnerability and receive the help of others.
How does your tribe align to your vision? Don’t over romanticize BFF... in some seasons God might call you to invite a different tribe to accomplish His will for your life. And it’s not just about receiving but it’s also about giving to others as well... Sometimes we find our purpose while serving others....
Woman Evolve felt like a command than just a title of the book...

If you need to build up your faith
Revisado: 04-15-21
Well written and believable. My faith has been encouraged to believe God for the impossibles in my life. This book made me think of the scripture “all things work together for the good to those who love him and are called according to his purpose” the author has done an amazing job in demonstrating how God strategically placed people in the right place at the right time for this big miracle to come together. Her boldness and faith in a God who heals has increased my boldness. What a testimony. And thank you for sharing it with the world.
