The third novel of this trilogy is just as fantastic as the first two. I was completely absorbed in the story. If I missed a sentence, I went back and listen to it again. Every word was perfection. The author ties all of the moving pieces and plot lines neatly up in a bow. She leaves no loose ends.

My one complaint about all three of these books:
OK, I got it! These two characters have smoking hot chemistry. Most of the smexy scenes are steamy and heartfelt. But every time this couple is in immediate danger of dying, because 3 feet away are men with guns who are trying to kill them, they're just going at it hot and fast. For instance, they're hiding in the shadowed alcove because men with guns are hunting them and passing by a couple feet away. And what are they doing? Going at it! Another example: they are in a bedroom going at it hot, heavy, and fast. Loudly. And there's a gun fight in the hall right outside their door, because assassins are looking for them so they can kill them. It's outrageously distracting. Each and every time it pulled me right out of the story because it was so jarring and out of place. And no universe is there a couple who's having loud heavy fast sex just on the other side of a door where assassins are trying to bash the door in and kill them dead.
It didn't ruin the story for me. But this author writes at such a high caliber, that making this nonsensical mistake is really beneath her. Nevertheless I highly recommend. Worth the credits, worth the cash to buy them on sale!

The ending! WTH! I did not see that coming! The entire 2nd installment of this trilogy was fascinating, absorbing, Soooo deeply enjoyable. Don't forget the stellar duet narration. Highly recommend! I'm off to start Restoration immediately.

Wow! I almost never try an unfamiliar author with Audible. It's less expensive to read a book to find out if I'm going to like her writing. But all of Tate James's audiobooks are rated 4.8 stars and above by thousands of reviewers. So I gave her a shot. If I had known that all her books are duet narration, I would've bought the entire series during the biannual site wide sale. I'll certainly be purchasing all of her series this summer at the next big sale!

Her writing is simply fantastic in every way. Her character development is dynamic and layered. So are the relationships between her characters. The inner and outer dialogue flows naturally without any repetition. The story arc is perfection! She kept me engaged throughout the entire book start to finish, which I listened to in one sitting!

I often get frustrated with trilogies, because either the pacing is too slow or the entire trilogy could easily be one book. A lot of authors put in a lot of unnecessary fluff in a trilogy. Tate James has structured the first third of her trilogy beautifully. It is perfectly paced, and there's not a single unnecessary scene.

I love that this is a slow burn love. I also love the secondary characters, who are colorful and authentic. The suspense is natural and intriguing, without keeping me on the knife edge of my seat. The mystery elements that were introduced are in no way predictable or formulaic. This author simply drew me into the story in every way possible, including her talented world building. I can't wait to start the second book, I'm going to dive right in immediately.

She chose the perfect narrating team for this series. They are highly talented, and bring the entire story to life, lending added depth to the story, and making me feel as if I'm listening to actual people speaking about their own lives, not just characters.

I wanted to love this book. Nadia Lee is a talented writer. The characters were likable. The story was sweet and heartfelt. She did the "He Falls First" trope quite well. The extreme low self esteem she gave the MFC was really jarring. So was the fat shaming. I would have enjoyed seeing some healing and growth for Molly, where she learns to believe in herself and embrace her own self-worth. Instead, Molly is still clinging stubbornly to her "I am not worthy" self image until the very last chapter. It was very unsatisfying.

Just superb! Every element of this book was so well done. Only duet narration would've made it better. But the dual narration is outstanding, so no complaints. No wonder the books in this series are all Audible Top Listens and Audible Bestsellers.

This is my 2nd book by this author. I wasn't impressed by the first one. But after reading some reviews by people more familiar with her writing, I was convinced I'd simply started with one of Brynne's less engaging novels. I'm so happy I decided to give her a 2nd chance. I'll be listening to the entire series after this one!

The bonus novella was a lovely surprise.

Highly recommend. Worth a credit.

If you're looking for depth or complexity, this is not your book. If you're looking for insta lust and insta love followed by lighthearted action adventure that doesn't take itself too seriously, this audiobook is definitely for you. The characters are likable, and T-Rex, the android, is quite entertaining. Nothing original or unpredictable here. But it's warm hearted, fun and entertaining. The narration is fantastic.

I might buy this on the biannual site wide sale for a few dollars, but I would not spend a credit on it. I listened to it as part of the plus catalog, and enjoyed it immensely.

This is a sugary sweet treat that's fluffy and fun without much character development or plot. I enjoyed it as a straightforward palette cleanser between other books. The writing is definitely a step above similar books by other writers. The smexy scenes are pretty hot, but also heartfelt. The universe building was vivid, but basic.

At 3 hours and 22 minutes, I definitely would NOT spend a precious credit on this book. But as a plus catalog selection, I highly appreciated and enjoyed it. The narration was top notch.

This is like a yummy bite of dessert that cleanses the palette and hits the spot. It’s a truly unique idea for a short story, and completely captivating. Very well executed. Loved the characters, plot, dialogue, performance. Listened in one go on an evening when I wanted something light hearted and heartfelt to make me smile. Perfection!

I thoroughly enjoyed the first two novellas in this series, and gave them both high ratings. I just couldn’t make myself rate any higher for this one. When the entire conflict and only source of tension in a story is a simple, completely avoidable, irrational, illogical miscommunication, it distracts from all the other wonderful elements of a book. Miscommunications that make sense, or are more complex in nature, are okay with me. But the MMC and MFC each made one single, major assumption that required a single, simple question to clear up. That is the entire plot of the story. 3 hours and 30 minutes for each person to ask the obvious question is about 3 hours too long.

The narration was superb, the characters were likable, and the writing itself was sweet. The plot ruined the rest.
