The Burgers Brothers' Family Funeral Home was a fun listen which was only raised higher by the author also narrating. He's a natural! There is a book 2 which I hope will be coming to Audible soon. I'm itching to know what happens next.

This story originally caught my attention because it is situated in Murray KY and the Land Between the Lakes. The references to area landmarks added to the fun and added depth to the story without becoming the story's sole focal point.

The characters each had their own driving forces which led them to the choices they made and propelled the story deeper. Initially those consequences were slow and I wasn't clear on where the plot was going to take us. However, I quickly became engaged with the charms of Donnie and Frank and how their choices could impact them for life (or death as it was with the funeral home).

This was funny, well narrated and edge of my seat riveting as the end approached. Now I need to find out where this dynamic, brotherly duo go next.

First, the narrator is terrific and does a great job of being multiple characters. He switches between voices easily allowing the listener's experience to flow uninterrupted.

On to the story itself. I love that this main character is not the average paranormal romance/romance 20 something. Being 40 + does not mean passion and love for life have slowed or died. Thank you for a strong, more mature, MC who didnt fold without her partner. she faced problems with honesty and then forged a well thought out plan. YAY

Everyone has some vanity, but this main character's was a bit much for me. Her obsession over her appearance and size was distracting. With that exception, this was still a terrific story.

This is a sweet story of coming home, making peace with her past choices, finding self and finding her place within Maryanne's own family that she feels fits her. Who hasn't had a 'what if' moment or two when thinking back about first loves. And for those of us who moved away to make a life away from family - who hasn't wondered what it would be like to go home again.

I loved this book.

This had a similar writing style as the Half Moon Hollow series (which I adore) minus the humor and loveable main characters. Honestly, I found myself not liking the MC for well over half the book. Margot came off as cold, snobbish and arrogant well into the story. Even when she softened a bit, she lacked qualities that made me want to know her better or cheer her on in anyway.

Molly's books usually leave me laughing and happy as I click replay for a second, third and even fourth time. But for me, this book lacked humor and the usual compelling characters I would love to meet or hang out with in real life if they existed. As one of Molly Harper's longer books, I kept checking to see if it would be over soon even napping for half an hour while it played. I didn't hate the book. But I don't think I will be replaying it either.

Would you listen to The Witch's Halloween Hero again? Why?

Yes, I would listen again and I have. I love these books - they are lighthearted, feel good books.

Any additional comments?

I was really happy to see a formerly, supporting character, Stanhil, get to have a happy ending. I also like that these are not young, idealistic kids in this edition.

What did you like best about this story?

It showed that Ophelia is beginning to have more depth. Now when she is in a story, we will not be able to assume she will only do something reprehensible. Although she is definitely still capable.

Any additional comments?

The only downfall to this book was that it was too short. I wished it could have been at least another 150 pages. I love the combination of Molly and Amanda. I also love how they can make a gloomy day feel a little brighter.

If you could sum up Writing Great Fiction: Storytelling Tips and Techniques in three words, what would they be?

Useful, real, ideas

Have you listened to any of Professor James Hynes’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first.. I will be listening to it again.

Any additional comments?

This had so many wonderful points, I found myself taking notes so I could follow up on them. This is why I recommend not driving while listening to this book. But do have a notepad to take down reminders and key things to look up when you are not listening.

This will be one of those you will want to listen to more than once.

Would you listen to And One Last Thing... again? Why?

I did listen to this twice. Anyone who has ever been cheated on will imagine the letter they would write if they could take the place of Lacey and the ripples of repercussions that would follow.

What was one of the most memorable moments of And One Last Thing...?

The letter was wonderful. I loved it. The emotional roller coaster of divorce from denial to acceptance changes real people and this character alike.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Amanda Ronconi's performance added so much to this book. Her character changes make the funny parts funnier and the more serious parts, heart wrenching.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was thoroughly engrossed in the whole book from when she made her discovery of her husbands infidelity, the descriptions of humiliation, the want and need to escape, the fear of a new relationship, questioning her own personal value and starting over. She evolved from a totally dependent and insecure person to a truly mature, independent and whole person.

Any additional comments?

I wanted this book to end differently. I wont give the ending away. While I wanted it to end differently, I don't think my ending would have fit the character Molly and Amanda created as well as the ending at which they arrived.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend all the Molly Harper audiobooks.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf?

I think my favorite moment was when Maggie finally gave in to what she wanted and let her soft side out to play. Being vulnerable made her a stronger character in many ways.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I empathized with the main character as she struggled with the choices of doing what she thought was the right thing, while trying to put on a strong front and simultaneously wrestling with her heart.

What did you love best about How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf?

I thoroughly enjoy how many laughs I am able to have as I picture the scenes in my head. With a combination of witty writing and above average delivery, I loved the whole book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf?

Having lived in small towns, I enjoyed how the writing presented the issues of a new person fitting into it. My nerves were on edge when Mo was trapped in the alley and I laughed when Mo's real name was revealed. Too many good moments to mention individually.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I wish I could listen to every Molly Harper book all at one time.

Any additional comments?

The references to pop culture mixed with a strong female character who may not have all the answers but unwaveringly, values herself, makes this a really fun, enjoyable, book.
