The God Matrix is a spiritual thriller that blends mystery, suspense, military intrigue, and maybe even Alien abductions, with spiritual principles and quantum physics. It will captivate you and keep you on the edge of your seat, as you are swept up in an adventure that leaves you wondering at the truth of you own existence, and even more so, wondering whether the story is indeed fact or fiction.

Captivating Spiritual Thriller
Revisado: 06-30-21
Normally I don't go for the spiritual or religious themed books but I went in with an open mind and was thoroughly surprised at how much I enjoyed this audiobook. It is basically a spiritual thriller that combines so many facets that will have you captivated until the very end. There truly is something for everyone from aliens, suspense, military and even romance. The narrator did an amazing job of showcasing different voices for each character. Definitely one to listen to!

Historia
Being Rob Crawley’s old lady requires an inner strength that Tina Douglas lacks. The perfect, red Mary Magdalene rose inked on the nape of her neck becomes a touchstone in times of stress and anxiety, which are many. Tina views her future as bleak and dire and sees herself trapped “in a web of her own making”.

A story about survival
Revisado: 05-30-21
What an amazing journey I found this audiobook to be. Tina (the girl with the rose tattoo) is an amazing character in trapped relationship with Rob Crawley, a member of a motorcycle club named Cascade Warriors. It is just another bad decision in her brief life thus far. Finding herself pregnant, she flees Rob and his gang but they continually hunt her down. Now she must decide what to do going forward. During her journey she becomes friends with Jenny and her family. Jenny becomes Tina's protector and together they become survivors to the hell Rob has in store for Tina. I found the characters to be riveting and easily relatable. It's truly a coming of age story of survival and sexuality. So hard to believe this was the author's debut novel and I can't wait to read/listen to more.

Not your Typical Romance
Revisado: 04-08-21
First off let me start by saying that this book does involve domestic violence so be prepared for triggers. Catherine is a great character and I feel that several people can identify with her. You can not help but to feel for Catherine and her struggle to accept her new place in this new marriage but she quickly learns that all is not what she hoped for - a marriage of love much like her parents. In addition to being a wonderful historical romance, the narration by Elizabeth Lagelee is beautifully done to the point that you can really feel as if you are each character. Truly a great story especially if you are partial to historical reads or audiobooks.

Historia
Et omnia recta - to make things right. In the late 1800s, a secret society was formed by a captain from Teddy Roosevelt’s Rough Riders with the support of the nation’s leading industrialists and bankers. Over a century later, the tradition continues in the same saloons and boardrooms of New York City, where it all began. In this crime thriller, where history and current events unite, Woodbury Kane, Jacob Riis, and Roosevelt himself fight the tyranny of Tammany Hall in the first mission of the volunteers during the turn of the last century.

Thriller of a Ride
Revisado: 09-01-20
This is a new author for me but he completely drew me in. I am a huge thriller fan so I couldn’t wait to get started on this audiobook. The narrator was a perfect choice as his voice managed to make the characters sound like I was visualizing them to be.
Sometimes it can be very confusing when the author goes back and forth between both the past and present storyline. However that was not the case with Drive. I thoroughly enjoyed the character of Annie, a strong cop who is introduced to “The Volunteers” through her father. The Volunteers have one rule and that is to make things right in the world. They are a group dedicated to righting the wrongs in our country, putting their lives at risk in order to achieve their goal. However things are not always as they seem as you will discover. So get your snacks and prepare yourself to travel down an amazingly thriller of a ride.

Not Just an Autism Story
Revisado: 01-11-19
While the focus is on autism, I found this to be a productive tool for any parent. As the mom of a child with autism, Kayla is 14yo non-verbal, I try to grab anything on the topic of Autism. You truly can feel the love in this story, it comes through in leaps and bounds. The life of an autistic child, parent or family is never easy but it is a journey I wouldn't trade for anything. Every day has its struggles but also its milestones. It was so refreshing to hear the journey of another parent facing the same struggles. I found this to be an amazing reference tool and I honestly feel it will be beneficial to a neuro typical parent as well as the special needs one, especially during the IEP meetings, when many of us are ready to tear our hair out. I also feel that Gayle's story will help those of you that struggle to understand what it is like to live with autism. I also want to add that the narrator did an amazing job and made me enjoy the experience all the more.

Great story and calming narrator
Revisado: 07-06-18
I hadn't listened to an audiobook in quite some time and forgotten how enjoyable they could be, how relaxing, especially when the narrator is so soothing to listen to. I found the story interesting which is not always the case when the subject is about art. I enjoyed how the author went back and forth from past to present. The book was thoroughly enjoying to listen to and I think I will listen to it again on the next rainy day.

Would you listen to The Boy and the Dolphin again? Why?
I will definitely listen to it again. I found it relaxing to listen to after a stressful day. It was well told and very easy to follow along with. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Who was your favorite character and why?
Phinny - she was a dolphin and I loved the bond she forged with Toby
Have you listened to any of Joe Carey’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No this was my first
Who was the most memorable character of The Boy and the Dolphin and why?
For me it was Toby, as a loner growing up I could identify with him and I've always loved dolphins so I could picture myself as Toby.
