Fasting, like prayer, is a part of the word of God. To dispute this would be as foolish as denying water is wet. Shall we stand fast on this irrevocable “tradition”, which we have been taught in the word, since it is indisputably a part of the word of God? Let us pray that it will “have free course, and be glorified” in its proper place, in order that Jesus may receive more glory and honor from his children. The purpose of this volume is to popularize perhaps one of the most downtrodden of all Biblical subjects.
