Needs work but enjoyable

Good story. It was hard to finish, but I’m glad I was able to.

Negative: Narrator read the combat as if he was reading the biography of mundane man existence. Very boring and not at all captivating combat.

Positive: The narration of the “slice of life” aspect of this series was great! Very fun to see new characters that Derek gets along with.

Still great series

Did not like how easy Jake had it in this book due to this new power of “reincarnation” didn’t build enough suspense In parts.

Loved the story, world building, history, new friends and new goals Jake has. This all gets me excited for the third book coming out!
The new author did a great performance and did justice to bring the characters to life in each of their own voices and personalities.

I will be buying the next audio book.

Everyone calm down it was actually good

I understand why there are some critics but the story is getting reeaaal thick and complex so chill guys. Also the beginning hour was a lot of explaining but, listening to book 7 than waiting a few months and then getting book 8 is a good reason to explain when you might have forgetter a thing or two from books 5-7 that he is referring too.
Over loved the book and had a really good time listening to it. Definitely took a turn I wasn’t expecting, wether it was because the author needs to start wrapping it up or because it was planned all along it was still good.
Performance flowed very good. However there was two edits that I noticed where the audio cut off and then continued abruptly and one spot where Jason explained something and then explained the entire sentence again in a different tone. Must have forgotten edit that out.
Story went really well though and over I really enjoyed the book I recommend listening to it a couple days after 7 to take a short break and to let yourself fall into Jason’s world.

I do not care if it takes 5 years or 10 years, I will wait for this next book to come out. I'm so hyped for it, this first book was a great listen for car rides and for listening with my wife.
There's so much detail in this book!

Narrator was clear and easy to unstand his words. I've been following this book for a while and I can say that the chapters were very fulfilling and the story was a great listen while I was drove for 13 hours.
