Historia
The human race has turned to dust. August Morrison faces it after rising from the depths of a dark matter research facility in Arizona. His co-workers. His daughter. All of them: dust. Friends and colleagues around the world don’t answer their phones. The city of Phoenix burns. He is alone. As a world without mankind starts to crumble, August fights not just for survival, but for his very sanity. On the other side of the country, Poe McDowell watches her parents crumble into dust just moments after being shoved inside a coffin-like device that spares her from the same fate.

Slow
Revisado: 03-05-24
This story isn't very good at all. There is so much useless detail about what the characters are doing at any given moment that I found myself skipping minutes of the story at a time just to move it along. Not a very good book.

Not a great book. The story was slow and the characters didn't do much to get you interested in what was happening to them.

U.S. allies around the world are already wiped out. The United States will cease to exist inside of five minutes. After giving the order to launch a full-scale retaliation–dooming the planet–the president, his staff, Secret Service and those lucky enough to be visiting the White House, are whisked below ground, where they board several Earth Escape Pods. Power and communications failures sweep the planet while emergency services are hobbled as fires and powerful storms rip across America. Still recovering from his injuries, Mike Mitchell returns to his family at Senator Seymour's residence in Virginia, the place a fortress secured by dozens of Secret Service agents. Fun Story
Revisado: 07-27-21
It's a fun story. There's a few annoying political jabs, but overall if you just enjoy it, then it's an ok book. R.C. Bray, as always, makes it a really good listen!
**This is my little political jab, so if you don't want to hear it, stop reading now because the rest of my review doesn't offer anything helpful in relation to the book.**
If you listen to the very end, the one thing I took away from this book was that the free world should be very concerned about China.
Listen and enjoy. It's a fun story, and Matthew Mather should send Mr. Bray a bonus!

Historia
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Save yourself the time and money! Spoiler Alerts!!
Revisado: 12-28-20
Listen to Book 1-2, maybe 3 or 4 if you really like it. After that, don't waste money on the rest of the series. Everyone in this series hates themselves for the decisions they make even though they are dealing with things humans never knew existed. As of book 12 the story doesn't change much besides humans are open about what they are doing and still winning because of Skippy, whom they still hate and mock. I returned the last book in the series, it gets old listening to the exact same thing over and over and over and over.
Form your own opinion, don't just listen to me, I'm obviously grumpy about it.

I’m done. This is getting old.
Revisado: 12-28-20
I was a big fan of the series in the beginning, but I probably should’ve given up several books ago. I’m done spending money on books to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over again. Everyone in this series hates themselves because they’re all the biggest bunch of morons you’ve ever met, yet they all judge each other for being the biggest bunch of morons you’ve ever met. They never let anything go, they dwell on the past and keep recycling the same old crap over and over. As of the end of this book,The humans are still alive, everything is going on just like it has for the last umpteen books and they’re going to continue. This could’ve been a really great series, if they would’ve wrapped it up and concluded the story. Great stories have an ending, this is a cash grab that just gets old and annoying. RC Brae is the only reason I listen to the last several books, but I’m done now. I’m going to return this one so that I can use a credit on something else. Sometime in the future, probably 20 years from now, I will just Google the ending to the series and it won’t take much imagination to fill in the blanks.
I know that there are people that probably really like this series, and I don’t take away from that. This is only my opinion, make your own opinion and don’t base your judgment purely on my obviously biased review.

Historia
Most children go through a dinosaur phase. Learning all the tongue-twisting names, picking favourites based on ferocity, armour, or sheer size. For many kids this love of ‘terrible lizards’ fizzles out at some point between starting and leaving primary school. All those fancy names slowly forgotten, no longer any need for a favourite. For all those child dino fanatics who didn’t grow up to become paleontologists, dinosaurs seem like something out of mythology. They are dragons, pictures in books, abstract, other, extinct.

Historia
The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

Revisado: 07-28-19
This is a great story and was made even better by Ray Porter. It’s a lot of fun to listen too and offers some interesting ideas about the future that are also a lot of fun to think about. I also loved the main character. Thanks for a great series!
