Historia
Creative Selection recounts the life of one of the few who worked behind the scenes, a highly respected software engineer who worked in the final years of the Steve Jobs era - the Golden Age of Apple. Ken Kocienda offers an inside look at Apple’s creative process. For 15 years, he was on the ground floor of the company as a specialist, directly responsible for experimenting with novel user interface concepts and writing powerful, easy-to-use software for products including the iPhone, the iPad, and the Safari web browser.

Amazing amount of practical examples of good product development, loved the highly specific software development stories.

Historia
In The Republic, Plato tackles the big issues of the state and the individual: how the state should be ruled, and by whom; and the way the individual should lead his life - and why. The lively quality of the dialogue can be clearly appreciated in this new translation by Tom Griffith.

A useful abridgment
Revisado: 07-23-15
I usually avoid abridged versions, but this really made the arguments much easier to follow. I knew who was talking, and what they were talking about, at all times. Some of the "character" of the back and forth dialogue is lost, but this version works great as an introduction or refresher to the full text.
