Historia
If society fell apart, could your family survive? Jim Powell thought he was ready. He was a regular guy who travelled a lot for work and hated every second he was away from his young family. But when ISIS operatives unleashed a coordinated attack on America’s infrastructure, his entire world shattered. The electrical grid collapsed, communication networks were damaged, critical bridges and dams were destroyed, and major fuel refineries have gone up in massive fiery clouds.

Believable, plausible, thought provoking.

Loved this whole series. Exciting, you’ll not look at the world or your neighbors the same. Get you some chickens, start a garden and arm up.

Historia
When a series of devastating terror attacks brought down the United States, Conor and Barb assumed they were safe in their compound. They had everything they needed. They were armed and highly trained. But then, Barb was kidnapped. The kidnappers didn’t know why Conor was known as The Mad Mick. They didn’t know the fear and respect his name invoked in the shadowy underworld of covert operations. They didn’t know that when it came to protecting his family, he was without conscience, without compassion, and without equal. But they would soon find out.

Very good book
Revisado: 03-24-25
Far start to finish the whole series is excellent. No “filler” evert chapter kept me engaged. Story is believable and plausible. By the end of this series you’ll want to buy chickens and goats preparing for the worst. Can’t say enough good things.

Sixteen years have passed since the Shadow Knights brought peace to Terrenor, and now a new generation of warriors fights to keep it. Lia has the potential to be the best knight of them all. Her swordsmanship and control of the origine far exceed her young age. The Shadow Knights' leaders push for her to live up to her potential, but her rebellious nature isn't interested in listening. Inconsistent character traits
Revisado: 06-19-24
The idea is great, the story is good. My problem was the inconsistency with the characters. One chapter has them getting beat up by 2 random guys then they take on and win against 100 elite soldiers. It was also quite frustrating because their powers literally never worked for them. Just couldn’t get into it, found myself pausing it so I could yell about how dumb it is.

All In all it’s a good book. The only issue I have is it leaves you hanging with no second book.

Historia
Good to Go is Constance's powerful, firsthand account of his three tours of duty as a member of America's most elite, razor-sharp stealth fighting force. It is a breathtaking memoir of harrowing missions and covert special-ops - from the floodplains of the Mekong Delta to the beaches of the South China Sea - that places the listener in the center of bloody ambushes and devastating firefights. But Constance's extraordinary adventure goes even farther - beyond 'Nam.

Reads like a bad Hollywood movie.

The bravado is over the top. I can’t help but think it’s....embellished which ruined the book for me. It’s just out of the realm of reality.
