Historia
“Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in a thousand square miles of wheat fields, with a railroad stop, and sullen and watchful people, and a worried woman named Michelle Chang, who mistakes him for someone else: her missing partner in a private investigation she thinks must have started small and then turned lethal.

Mr Child drug this out sooooooooo long. I did not like this book, it was gruesome in the end and I had to backtrack several times because of boredom.

This Ain't No Clancy Novel
Revisado: 09-15-15
To convoluted with no character development and hard to follow. Mr Clancy took time to build a story giving details and dropping clues. Not so with Mr. Backwoods style of story.

Narrator has a droning voice with no infliction. The story line is very interesting but I can not listen to the 3rd book with this speaker

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Mr.Kramer narration, acquired taste
Revisado: 01-12-13
I really wanted to like this story, SiFi and Fantasy. Throw in a narrator who ends every third sentence with a raised voice as if posing a question even during a fight scene; and I'm done. Mr. Kramer describes a battle as if watching the grass grow. Boring and aggravating reading style make a long book unbearable. I can not believe 4000+ readers found this book so entertaining!!!

Historia
Victorian London is a cesspool of crime, and Scotland Yard has only 12 detectives - known as “The Murder Squad” - to investigate thousands of murders every month. Created after the Metropolitan Police’s spectacular failure to capture Jack the Ripper, The Murder Squad suffers rampant public contempt. They have failed their citizens. When Walter Day, the squad’s newest hire, is assigned the case of the murdered detective, he finds a strange ally in the Yard’s first forensic pathologist, Dr. Bernard Kingsley.

Very Very Poor Narration
Revisado: 08-09-12
Due to the narrator I can not rate the book/storyr. I have listened to many books the last couple years and this guy is absolutly the WORST. He reads a sentence pauses, then takes a very audible breath. This narrative stye carried on as far into the book as I could stand. His repetative cadence ruined what other wise started to feel like a good story.

Classic 1930's SciFi Story
Revisado: 02-02-12
This story is a classic 1930 style story where romance and science fiction are still fresh. Tony and Eve, Really??? I waited for something but chivalry keep Tony in line, How Quaint.
Other than those two the story was pure Buck Rogers and Captain Marvel. I enjoyed some of the story a double speed, specially the mushy stuff.

Historia
A literary icon sometimes seen as a bridge between the Beat Generation and the hippies, Ken Kesey scored an unexpected hit with his first novel, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. His successful follow-up, Sometimes a Great Notion, was also transformed into a major motion picture, directed by and starring Paul Newman. Here, Oregon’s Stamper family does what it can to survive a bitter strike dividing their tiny logging community. And as tensions rise, delicate family bonds begin to fray and unravel.

Yawn!!!!
Revisado: 11-08-11
This was written by an author with an ego who wished to show his large vocabulary and the fact he did shrums in college. The story is disjointed and rambles.
I do believe the narrator does his best to convey the poor story by being so mono-tone.

When the British Arean Company founded its Martian colony, it welcomed any settlers it could get. Outcasts, misfits, and dreamers emigrated in droves to undertake the grueling task of terraforming the cold red planet - only to be abandoned when the BAC discovered it couldn't turn a profit on Mars. Mary Griffith and her struggles and triumphs are at the center of it all, in her bar, the Empress of Mars.

The time is in the future but parents still have issues with kids and people are still looking to make deals. Some interesting characters out there in space, a little rough around the edges but with good intentions and spirit, almost like the early pioneers of Australia.

Historia
Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Say What???
Revisado: 08-24-11
I drive a truck for a living and listen to a lot of books. This one is just hard to get a handle on as it jumps around. I have to go back and relisten to catch the gist of the story line again and again. Is it the narrator or story I can't say but it is on the side line till I have more time to devote my complete attention, like on vacation
