Historia
No one captures the complexities of Appalachia - a rugged, brutal landscape of exquisite beauty - as evocatively and indelibly as author and poet Ron Rash. Winner of the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award, two O Henry prizes, and a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, Rash brilliantly illuminates the tensions between the traditional and the modern, the old and new south, tenderness and violence, man and nature.

It's 1920, and Christmas is coming. Major Lennox finds a body on his doorstep - why on his doorstep? Was it to do with the Countess? Was it about the ruby necklace? Black, an ex-con and ex-addict, is the more hopeful of the menthough he is just as desperate to convince White of the power of faith as White is desperate to deny it.

Historia
Experience the wonderment of Christmas with this endearing collection of original stories. Even though he's got 3.5 million copies of books in print, Pastor Robert Morgan writes only one short fiction story each year - an original work he shares with his church on Christmas Eve. Now with a fresh new cover and six new stories, the entire collection of 12 is available in this beautiful volume. Following a foreword by David Jeremiah, these adventures evoke the splendor and love found at the manger over 2,000 years ago.

Revisado: 09-25-16
I truly enjoyed the stories in Ford County. John Grisham has been one of my top three authors for many years. Listening to John read was like having a long time friend read to me as we sit together on the porch. Just like having favorite authors-now that I listen to more audio books- I now have favorites who read to me. John is in the top two!!
