Boring.
Revisado: 01-29-25
Repetitive and boring. For example, there is a chapter regarding the authors out of body sexual experiences. I’ve never read an author that makes sex boring.

Historia
The Stage of Time will bring you through an adventurous exploration into understanding the secrets of consciousness, ancient history, and the nature of reality. Be prepared to question the world you live in and everything you thought you knew about the universe, human origins, and the lost civilizations of antiquity. Discover thought-bending evidence from some of the oldest texts ever written and learn the reasons why their contents eventually became suppressed and hidden from most of society. Conspiracy theories or conspiracy facts, you decide what's real based on the evidence.

Worthless
Revisado: 12-09-24
Don’t bother with this nonsense. Among other things he doesnt know (like string theory being wildly discredited), the author doesn’t understand evolution and that we didn’t evolve from apes.

Historia
Andrew Yancy—late of the Miami Police and soon-to-be-late of the Monroe County sheriff’s office—has a human arm in his freezer. There’s a logical (Hiaasenian) explanation for that, but not for how and why it parted from its shadowy owner. Yancy thinks the boating-accident/shark-luncheon explanation is full of holes, and if he can prove murder, the sheriff might rescue him from his grisly Health Inspector gig (it’s not called the roach patrol for nothing).

Entertaining story. Makes you want to travel to the Florida Keys. I’ll be checking out more of this writer’s works.

Historia
Governments have always struggled to tax in ways that are effective and tolerably fair. Sometimes they fail grotesquely, as when, in 1898, the British ignited a rebellion in Sierra Leone by imposing a tax on huts - and, in repressing it, ended up burning the very huts they intended to tax. Sometimes they succeed astonishingly, as when, in 18th-century Britain, a cut in the tax on tea massively increased revenue. Two leading authorities on taxation provide a fascinating and informative tour through these and many other episodes in tax history, both preposterous and dramatic....

Good book on tax policy and history
Revisado: 12-31-22
This is a very entertaining book despite the topic. It has lots of tax history to explain the various academic tax issues discussed in the book.
