Mystery/Thriller with a wonderful romance.

I loved switching up genres from my usual Romance to this Thriller (with some romance as a trope in this story).
The major portion of the 1st person POV is the heroine's- Ariel.
The hero Jay/Buzz, etc (!!!) also has his POV told.
There's a mysterious 3rd POV that is told in 3rd person. ????? All 3 narrators are fantastic.
I love that Ariel, the heroine is fairly average, somewhat intelligent. She's not at all prepared for what unfolds.
I was kept guessing throughout this story. I was constantly thinking, OMG, now what. I was pulling for Ariel to get a break . I was hoping that a certain someone was a good guy. I had my eyes on a a couple/few that seemed pretty shady.
I love how the ending tied up a lot of loose ends. I would love to have another Thriller from Sarina Bowen. I highly recommend this book. The audio is so well done. This book works great reading with my eyes & listening to the audio.

Enemies to Lovers. Great narration !

I read book 3 first The Devil You Know, which I enjoyed.
A Facebook friend recommended this book for the audio, narrated by Rose Dioro. It's done in 1st person POV, the heroine Tally. I agree, Rose did a great job being the sole narrator. My first few audio books that I've listened to (for a few years now) were narrated by female narrators. Rose has a great male voice. The hero in this case, Hayes, is British. Hayes is a very wealthy cosmetic surgeon in Los Angeles. Tally is struggling to make a living as a published author while her dysfunctional family leans HEAVILY on Tally.
Tally fills in for a friend- working as an assistant to Hayes. It's temporary, but pays well enough to possibly put a dent in Tally's debts. Tally and Hayes have sparks, but Hayes works all the time and takes little time away from his lucrative medical practice. I love their banter. Tally really stands up to Hayes-much more than she does with her family back in Kansas.
Hayes is a grump, but Tally really wears him down. Hayes and Tally each had bad break ups. Neither has any desire to start a new relationship.
I liked the second half of the book more, especially when Tally takes major steps to solve her family's dependence on her.
I read this through Audible, bought through KU whispersync.
I loved the ending, especially the last 1/4 & the epilogue.

College Ice Hockey Frenemies to lovers

4.5 STARS ! I really enjoyed this last month. I listened again- over the past weekend- through Audible . 4.5 stars again!
I loved the wait for it, mistaken identity-then frenemies to lovers.
Teddy Hamilton narrates the hero, Callan.
Emma Wilder narrates the heroine, Aria.
They have immediate chemistry, but things don't go well each time they encounter each other.
They are both college ice hockey players. Aria is a transfer student from Duluth MN. She's playing it low key, going by a different last name to avoid a family scandal.
Aria. ironically, is trying to make it on the women's Olympic hockey team.
I felt that Aria was a little too harsh/hasty about her dad's coaching scandal. It's a little switch from the (usual) H/h having a misunderstanding.
Aria does withhold who she is and doesn't do one bit of good with her relationship with Callan.
Great writing. The chemistry is strong and grows when they have work together on the ice.
I don't read a lot of college/NA romance, but this Moo U Series (and the other True North spin off series) is a lot of fun. I never hesitant a chance to visit Vermont.

I expected a lot and got so much more. Erin, perfectly written and recorded. Matilda and Richard... no words are adequate. I laughed so hard. I had some tears at the end.

Quirky, cute and romantic

I really enjoyed this very funny, very cute love bug story. Well, Mabel loves bugs, but she also has a quirky path to finding love as well.
Mabel is under-estimated by her parents and her, uh big jerk of a boyfriend. I was so anxious for Mabel to kick him to the curb. There is a scene with Mabel and her friends Calliope, Cyndi and Louise.
Mabel is very open about almost everything. She has a little TMI moment about her and Bert. Ewww. Well, it also emphasizes just how much of a jerk Bert is. I wish that he would have less part in this story.
Mabel is only 24, but is already an entomologist. I learned a lot about them while Mabel went on her journey of finding real romance and real love. I found out about the headless praying mantis on the book cover!
Wally and Hazel have such a strong chemistry- right from their first meeting. She disarms his gruffness with her candid openness.
There were a few plot twists that involved her parents. Mabel's parents weren't very supportive or appreciative of Mabel's intellect and talent. Mabel has her ah ha moment- a couple of them.
Mabel is sweet and smart, but she needed to stand up for herself. Spoiler: she does!
Erin did a great job telling this story, AND narrating it- Erin Mallon does ALL of the voices. I pre-ordered the audio & so glad that I did.
I read Flirtasaurus on kindle, but I want to get that audio too. Mabel's friend Calliope is the heroine in that book.
I enjoyed the ending and the epilogue. Be sure to read/listen all the way to the end.
This was perfect timing for this week. Great job Erin!
