Historia
Why, despite our state-of-the-art medical technology, does the United States have among the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the industrialized world? Why do pregnant women who are planning to breastfeed receive "free" samples of infant formula from American obstetricians? Why are American newborns given a vaccine at birth against hepatitis B, a sexually transmitted disease? The Business of Baby arms parents with the information they need to make informed decisions about their own health and the health of their infants.

Crucial reading
Revisado: 02-16-23
Crucial reading for parents and non parents alike. I think about the things mentioned in this book frequently. Once you know you can’t I know it.

Historia
Chief Inspector Armand Gamache of the Surêté du Québec and his team of investigators are called in to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal. Jane Neal, a local fixture in the tiny hamlet of Three Pines, just north of the U.S. border, has been found dead in the woods. The locals are certain it’s a tragic hunting accident and nothing more, but Gamache smells something foul in these remote woods, and is soon certain that Jane Neal died at the hands of someone much more sinister than a careless bowhunter.

Too many characters and too bizarre
Revisado: 09-29-17
There were just too many characters going on here and I couldn't follow. I read for a living and this one I just couldn't get through. It belabors points (like the bow and arrow stuff) and just wasn't engaging. Don't understand all the good reviews--I was hoping to like it.
