Cuyler's storytelling is both imaginative and immersive. She crafts a rich tapestry where fiction and reality blend seamlessly, inviting readers to ponder the transformative power of literature. Betty's evolution from a subdued servant to a courageous heroine is both inspiring and relatable, embodying the timeless theme of self-discovery.

The narrative is further enriched by its vibrant cast of characters, including beloved figures from classic tales who aid Betty on her quest. I love Betty’s moments with Sherlock Holmes and Peter Pan. This clever integration pays homage to literary legends while offering fresh perspectives, making the story both nostalgic and innovative.

Forever Is Eternity is more than just a fantasy novel; it's a heartfelt tribute to the escapism and empowerment that books provide. Cuyler's eloquent prose and inventive plot make this debut a must-read for bibliophiles and fantasy enthusiasts alike. So many fun literary allusions exist in this story, and some references even had me laughing out loud at the literary callbacks.

I now own a physical copy (autographed by the author), an electronic copy, and the audiobook version of this first novel. The audiobook version, read by Sarah Kisko, is fantastic. Kisko nails the narrative voice and pulls the listener in with ease.

As the first installment in the Blackwick series, Forever Is Eternity sets a good standard for the series, leaving readers eager for the adventures that await in subsequent volumes.
