Historia
Ex-Navy SEAL Jack Kirkland surfaces from an aborted underwater salvage mission to find the Earth burning. Solar flares have triggered a series of gargantuan natural disasters. Earthquakes and hellfire rock the globe. Air Force One has vanished from the skies with America’s president on board. Now, with the US on the narrow brink of a nuclear apocalypse, Kirkland must pilot his oceangoing exploration ship, Deep Fathom, on a desperate mission miles below the ocean’s surface.

Narrator made it tough
Revisado: 09-25-24
I have read this book before. Decent but farfetched story. Biggest problem is the narrator needs major work on his female voices. The two main females sounded like naieve whining teenage girls. Very difficult to listen to; had to start and stop multiple times.

Historia
A secret buried in the Antarctic. A puzzle unsolved for thousands of years. And a Brooklyn-born master gunnery sergeant who's royally pissed that he has to babysit the researchers sent to figure it all out. But when Patrick "Wic" Finnegan finally sees what the team has uncovered, he can't believe his eyes, nor is he prepared for the violence to come. Soon, the portal opens and unleashes a storm of unbridled fury upon humanity.

I can't remember ever laughing so much at a book. Interesting characters and story. Narrator brought it home. Sat in my driveway after work as I didn't want to turn it off. Immediately ordered book 2. Sir Chuck is one of my fav characters of all time.

Historia
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

FUNGUS AMONGUS! #1 for Good Reason
Revisado: 05-08-24
Witty, endearing characters. Great plot, twists and turns. Excellent narration. Terrifyingly plausible. Thanks for the nightmares! Not sure I'll ever eat a mushroom again.

Overall the story was interesting. It was a little too long, though great twists at the end.
