Historia
After escaping Doragon’s clutches, Roy finds himself stranded in the Windblight, a harsh desert under the control of a rival clan - one that won’t think twice about tossing him in their fighting arena to pay off a perceived debt. Meanwhile, Aika, Ferry, and Hermit face their own problems in the form of retribution from the Itachi clan. While Hermit might be a Sovereign, his sister carries the same title.

Pieces fall into place and you have complete "OMG!" Moments where you can not help yell out in surprise. I look forward to the next book and still want more.

Revisado: 01-30-21
Water once again leaves many questions unanswered but the answers that to come are welcome and you cant help look forward for more. The troubles our MC finds himself in are entertaining and makes you want to keep listening. The laughs keep coming and you cant help want to cheer for the MC.

Revisado: 01-30-21
Another good installment in this series. I look forward to reading or in this case listening to much more. This book leads to more question than answers but the answers are still there. At times the MC does get a bit annoying but builds well.

In a world of titans, where martial artists reign supreme, Roy is wholly unremarkable. Without the power to channel the essence of the world, he is weak and defenseless. Adopted into the Shah clan after his parents' deaths, he is forced to do menial labor day after day, all while enduring the ridicule and physical abuse of his supposed family.

good story bad continuity
Revisado: 01-16-21
Plot is good but author should buy a Thesaurus. author also forgets his own plot points. trying to have interesting twists through memories the story forgets the mc already had things the twists try to give the mc.
many times while listening I couldnt help but think "I dont think he is using those words correctly." Other than all that, not terrible.

Error in description
Revisado: 08-05-20
Did you read the summary of this audiobook and become excited to see you would finally get to hear about Yar and his adventures at the Dark Academy? Well oops. This description of the book is completely incorrect. It may have been done in error but the only time Yar is anywhere near the Academy is by chapter 55 at the END OF THE BOOK.
Unfortunately with that being said the story is not terrible. What takes so much away from the book is the narrator. With the odd tendencies to rapidlyreadeverythinginasinglebreath, or the odd. pauses...that...makes..you...feel the narrator is having to look close at the words and squint while tilting his head to the left, it takes much away from the story. Often times I found myself zoning out or becoming startled because of the feeling much of the story was skipped over somehow and you cant follow how you got from A to B.
Overall kind of disappointed but pushed through to the end anyways.

Historia
The familiar world collapsed overnight. As the Transformation progressed, disasters occurred throughout the Earth. Materials changed their properties, new species of flora and fauna appeared. The Game converted our world into a huge dungeon, completely replacing the previous civilization. However, the alien plans for Earth began to go awry from the very beginning. The conversion was less successful than expected. An ordinary young man stole the bonus for the first gaming action, depriving the invaders of their perk.

New Narrator
Revisado: 08-02-20
This new Narrator is terrible. He reads to the point everything feels like once sentence. When switching characters there is no indication of not and you easily get lost on what is going on. The book and story itself is great and I wish It had a better narrator

Historia
Vainqueur Knightsbane is your average dragon: A giant, fire-breathing lizard who loves to take naps on his golden hoard, kidnap princesses for fun, and make the life of adventurers miserable. Vainqueur's only pleasure in life is to watch his treasure get bigger, one coin at a time. So when a would-be thief turned unwilling minion tells him about "classes", "levels", and "quests", Vainqueur wonders if maybe, just maybe, he should consider a career change. After all, why bother hunting monsters for free when you can get paid for it?

Historia
Clive Logan is a serial killer; or, to be more accurate, Clive Logan was a serial killer. Caught after a record-breaking streak of murders, he was executed by lethal injection by the state, while thousands of his victims' grieving family members watched. That should’ve been the end of his emotionless and unfeeling existence - but it wasn’t.

Great Idea, Just short in execution.
Revisado: 11-18-19
This book has a great premise to reimagine the dungeon core trope. The main character is an emotionless serial killer with congenital analgesia, the inability to feel pain (and in this case pleasure). It is not specifically stated but it seems to be written this way. The only way for the MC to feel anything is through murder.
I won't go further in detail of plot but it seemed like due to his inability to feel physical pain and is psychologically numb to the point of air headedness leads to the MC being very poor subject for the story. The plot drags as he fails to understand common sense and seems to extend the length of events without a satisfying sense of forward momentum.
Much of the time as I listened I would yell at the MC to do anything to move the plot. This is not to say the MC is stupid. Just unmotivated and unable to connect the most basic ideas to achieve his goals. With this in mind it seems the story forces a conclusion to the MCs benefit without properly giving a connection of how he got there.
All told it is a decent thing to listen to while bored but not as engaging or interesting as it really could have been. I still am interested in book 2 just to see if the MC changes at all.

Good not great
Revisado: 05-26-19
Overall i loved the story, but the only drawback was the narrator. The story was compelling and i want more. But a selling point for me are character voices. During the story i couldnt tell the difference between speaker and that took me out of immersion. Despite that i recommend the book
