Historia
On a hot August night, Lt. Eve Dallas and her husband, Roarke, speed through the streets of Manhattan to the Down and Dirty club, where a joyful, boisterous pre-wedding girls’ night out has turned into a murder scene. One of the brides lies in a pool of blood, garroted in a private room where she was preparing a surprise for her fiancée—two scrimped and saved-for tickets to Hawaii. Despite the dozens of people present, useful witnesses are hard to come by. It all brings back some bad memories for Eve.

Historia
"Of all of my novels, After the Night remains one of my personal favorites – and Faith Devlin and Gray Rouillard are two of my favorite characters. Faith is strong, proud, and fearless, and Gray – well, he’s just downright sexy. Faith’s search for the truth about the devastating scandal surrounding her mother and Gray’s father blazes with intrigue. Add some sultry Southern hear, and you’ve got a real scorcher of a listen." Unbelievable
Revisado: 08-15-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The book was fairly entertaining but totally ridiculous. One man on his own against dozens of highly trained killers and he won. This despite a bullet wound in his thigh, broken ribs, a knife would in his stomach and myriad other injuries. Why can't authors give these guys a support team?
Would you be willing to try another book from Mark Greaney? Why or why not?
Probably not.
Was The Gray Man worth the listening time?
I struggled to finish it.

Another great book by Vince Flynn
Revisado: 05-23-16
If you could sum up Protect and Defend in three words, what would they be?
Believable, riveting and educational.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Protect and Defend?
The discussion the President and his cabinet had regarding turning Mitch loose to find CIA Director Kennedy. In real life, I only hope that someone would step up like the President, Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense did in the book.
Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
George Guidall is incredible and does an incredible job with the various voices. I hope that Mr. Flynn continues to utilize Mr. Guidall's talents for all of his books.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I always find a couple of instances where I laugh out loud while driving when listening to a Mitch Rapp story.
Any additional comments?
I have listened to ten books in the Mitch Rapp series and have loved them all.

Disappointing
Revisado: 02-21-16
What disappointed you about Daemon?
The first part of the book was very interesting but once he computers took over everything, it became ridiculous.
What about Jeff Gurner’s performance did you like?
Jeff's performance was very good.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Daemon?
I thought the vehicles, that operated on their own killing everything in sight, were absurd.
Any additional comments?
I thought based on other reviews this would be better, but I was very disappointed.

Why we think it’s a great listen: A masterpiece like none other, Brooks’ powerful performance of Haley’s words has been known to leave listeners in tears. It begins with a birth in an African village in 1750, and ends two centuries later at a funeral in Arkansas. And in that time span, an unforgettable cast of men, women, and children come to life, many of them based on the people from Alex Haley's own family tree.

Excellent story and performance
Revisado: 02-21-16
What did you love best about Roots?
While this story is extremely disturbing, the book was much easier to handle than the mini-series.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Roots?
The pride the family maintained throughout the generations despite the misery that they endured.
Which character – as performed by Avery Brooks – was your favorite?
Mr. Brooks did an excellent and made all of the characters believable.
Any additional comments?
The first part of the book (the Africa years) moves much slower than the time after Kunta was captured and shipped to America. The second part of the story held my interest much better.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Excellent story
Revisado: 02-21-16
What made the experience of listening to 11-22-63 the most enjoyable?
I wasn't sure what to expect with this book since I am not a fan of Stephen King's scarier stories, but I was pleasantly surprised with 11/22/63. Craig Wasson's performance was one of the best I have heard, truly exceptional. I'm old enough to remember the Kennedy assassination and formerly lived in Dallas so I had a lot of interest in the subject. The story, while having multiple storylines. was riveting and kept my interest throughout. A great book.
Have you listened to any of Craig Wasson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This was my first book with Craig Wasson and I will definitely search out others. He was great.
