Crash-Landed in Love is a fluffy, sweet story of fated-mates who never felt like they belonged anywhere, but definitely belong together. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to read something that is sweet and silly.

The characters and plot of this are absolutely ridiculous, but in a way that makes for a very fun read. There are a lot of spicy scenes and very little plot, but it’s entertaining.

The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo, helped sell me on the book. I think I liked it better as an audiobook than I would have if I read a print book. Ferraiuolo is one of my favorite narrators, especially for humorous titles because his comedic delivery is just superb.

I should’ve realized from the comment “life finds a way” in the description that the book is mpreg, but I didn’t, so that threw me. I usually have to be in the mood for that kind of book, but it was fun enough that I didn’t mind.

In some ways, I felt like this book was longer than it needed to be for the kind and amount of plot that it had. I got a little impatient with the characters during the height of the “conflict,” but overall I enjoyed the book. I’m planning to read the next one.

Love this series!

Can I take a moment to revel in the magic of Onley James? ‘Psycho’ is the second in a series about psychopathic vigilante brothers bent on ridding the world of as many evil doers as they can. The first book, ‘Unhinged,’ is now one of my all-time favorites, and ‘Psycho’ is a worthy successor. It is an H-E-Double Hockey Sticks of a ride.

I’ll admit to having a *thing* for assassin heroes in fiction. I also have a thing for dark humor and dark romances. This series is right up my alley. It’s also filled to the brim with graphic descriptions of stomach turning violence and adult situations some folks might find unsettling or objectionable. I love this kind of stuff when done well, and James does it WELL, but it's not for everyone.

Can folks read this book without reading ‘Unhinged’ first? Technically, yes. However, if ‘Psycho’ sounds appealing, read ‘Unhinged’ because it’s glorious and ‘Psycho’ is definitely more fun having read the other first.

If I worried about James’s ability to keep the “psychopath meets his match” plot fresh and interesting, I certainly wasn’t for long. Each brother has a rich inner ‘life’ that makes them distinct from the other. The way these characters bump up against and support each other makes for both hilarious and endearing interactions.

Liam DiCosimo is a solid narrator. He's narrator of all of James's audiobook productions and I appreciate the consistency. His voice work is good, even if I giggle a little about how he says things like "complimentary" and "documentary." I love re-reading/listening to the books over. I can't wait for the rest to be available.

I flew through ‘Psycho’ and absolutely loved it, which leads me to my "complaint." While it’s an incredibly satisfying read, I found myself feeling more and more insatiable for the rest of the series! ‘Moonstruck,’ which (from the preview) promises to set my Kindle (and me) on fire. Curse you, Onley James, for leaving me even hungrier than I was before I ate ‘Psycho!’

Complicated to listen to

I really did enjoy this story, but I had a hard time with the description of the pictures. I personally did better with the physical copy. I'm glad it's available for audio but I didn't know how to listen to the description of the pictures and have it make sense to me.

Cute but not enough angst for me

I am just all about the longing in a novella. This is a funny, cute story but I didn't really feel the longing. Also, for all their talk of genitalia there isn't any sex (not that it's a requirement and there probably are sexy times later in the series, just providing what I would find to be helpful information). This really is hilarious. The ship's A.I. is well worth the cost of this book.

Not sure what I was expecting

I enjoyed this and it was definitely interesting it just wasn't what I was expecting though I can't say for sure what I was expecting. I would call this an odd, if not somewhat dark, story. Definitely some creepy elements here! I was looking for a story about a f/f relationship developing in the midst of action. There's good action here but the relationship development is light.

Fabulously Fun

Imagine that you see a woman walking down the road laughing hysterically at seemingly nothing.

This was me, walking my dog, getting strange looks by passersby. This had exactly the right amount of angst, humor, and smut to make me a very happy person.

I found this story "trigger-y"

By "trigger-y", I mean that the experiences of the heroine made me a little uncomfortable and it was difficult at times for me to handle the brutal discussions/descriptions of what she'd been through. I don't think Banks handle things badly, however, if you're sensitive to issues of rape and sexual violence (especially to the extent this character experienced), you may want to reconsider.

I enjoyed the story and I liked the characters, but there was a lot of repetition of regarding everyone's feelings which make the book seem 20% longer than it needs to be. Also, I'm now really tired of the word "flesh".

Pretty decent

These were were good stories for the most part. A few of them were a little slower than I'm used to with her, but I still really liked them. The only thing I really have to complain about is that I'm so very, very tired of the phrase "quintessentially (fe)male" because seriously, what does that even mean?

I love the paranormal-romance genre, but I that doesn't mean I love every book in the genre. This one, however, I thoroughly enjoyed. It had all the things I love: humor, action, a dominant hero, and some good (well balanced) smexy times.

Not Bad.

This wasn’t a bad story and I actually ended up liking it better than I expected. It was sweet, occasionally amusing, and for something that was a short romance and nothing else, it was surprising lacking in trite. On the downside, the narrator was great for some of the voices, but many of his “female” voices grated on my nerves, pulling me out of the story. The real problem for me was that the characters were kind of forgettable, though I think that is in large part due to the brief nature of the story. I think to make the characters vibrant, the story would have had to have been longer, but sadly making the story longer would have made it too long to be enjoyable, at least not without more plot than what it had. In the end, I didn’t mind spending a few hours listening to it, but it won’t be one that I go back to or that stays with me in the long run.
